Welcome back, RotoBallers, to my PGA DFS Pivots for DraftKings! This week, the PGA event is The Byron Nelson.
Golfers have one last tune-up before The PGA Championship! The week's field is one of the strongest we have seen since The RBC Heritage. Golfers should expect low scores this weekend as Craig Ranch is very getable for these professionals.
With some talented golfers in the field, it will be vital to make accurate pivots off some chalky golfers to allow our lineups to be unique.

The Byron Nelson - PGA DFS Pivots
Pivot Off: Maverick McNealy ($7,800) – I was surprised to see how high McNealy’s ownership is currently projected. McNealy is moderately priced and has played well of late. He has only lost strokes gained tee-to-green once in his last nine starts. McNealy had another good performance at The RBC Heritage gaining 2.9 strokes tee-to-green. While he is consistent, he has not shown the ability to excel in any particular metric. Over the last 24 rounds, he ranks 56th in the field in strokes gained approach and 35th in opportunities gained. While his rankings aren’t terrible, they do not instill much confidence in rostering a golfer at such high ownership. There are opportunities to gain leverage elsewhere.
Top PGA DFS Pivot Plays - Byron Nelson
Tommy Fleetwood ($9,000) – Tommy Fleetwood is currently projected to be one of the lowest owned golfers in his price range. Fleetwood has shown signs of life as of late. He has recorded three straight top 20-place finishes. Fleetwood has now gained strokes on approach in four straight events. He has not been able to accomplish that in over a year. While it may be best to prefer Fleetwood on difficult golf courses, I think his game is trending in the right direction. His low ownership could allow for some leverage.

Alexander Noren ($7,900) - Alexander Noren is flying under the radar. He is priced just below a chalky Adam Hadwin. Noren has had a strong 2022 with only one missed cut. Over the last 24 rounds he ranks 24th in ball striking, 11th in strokes gained approach, and 6th in opportunities gained. Noren has also been one of the most consistent ball strikers on tour. In his last 8 starts, he has only lost strokes on approach once. He makes for a great pivot off McNealy and/or Hadwin.
Sebastian Munoz ($7,600) – Sebastian Munoz is currently projected to be in the single digits ownership-wise. Munoz has performed better than his results have suggested this year. While he only has one missed cut this year, his best finish is a 21st-place finish at The Genesis. Munoz has gained strokes tee-to-green in six straight events. He has only lost strokes on approach in two of his last eight events. Over his last 24 rounds, he ranks 17th in ball striking and 13th in opportunities gained. Munoz is a great GPP target.
Nick Taylor ($7,000) – Nick Taylor is trending well into this event. Last week at The Wells Fargo, he gained 7.4 strokes tee-to-green and 4.4. on approach. He was able to record a top 15 place finish last week. It was a positive sign for Taylor who had three straight missed cuts before The Wells Fargo. Taylor is projected to be in the low single digits ownership-wise. This could be a good buy-low opportunity on Taylor.
