Top-10 PGA Power Rankings for the 2025 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities. Golf insights on the top-10 golfers for the week and reasons why they are primed to succeed.
With the year's final major championship now in the books, golf fans will turn their attention to the homestretch of the PGA Tour's regular season and the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
The 3M Open is one of just two tournaments remaining on the schedule prior to the first Playoff event in Memphis next month. This event is still a relatively new one on the PGA Tour calendar, though we can expect this driver-heavy TPC Twin Cities layout that features water on 15 holes to provide plenty of birdies and drama.
As is always the case the week following a major championship, we'll want to keep an eye out for W/Ds. Read ahead to see my Top 10 for the 2025 3M Open:

No. 10 - Si Woo Kim
The South Korean heads to Minnesota in solid, if unspectacular, form. Kim's ball-striking attributes stand out among this week's rather pedestrian 3M Open field. He currently ranks inside the top-36 on the PGA Tour in SG: OTT, APP, & Total for the 2025 season.
Kim will be teeing it up at TPC Twin Cities for the first time since 2020 and will look to continue the form that's helped him to gain an average of 4 strokes from T2G over his last 10 starts.
No. 9 - Akshay Bhatia
It's been an uneven year for the 23-year-old who has already won twice on the PGA Tour in his young career. Highs such as a T3 earlier in the year at The Players Championship have given way to underwhelming results as the season has progressed. The decline in results can be traced to Bhatia's struggles around the green - an area where he'd lost strokes in seven of his last eight starts prior to The Open Championship.
However, there's little reason to be overly worried about Bhatia's short-game issues on this TPC Twin Cities layout, where missing greens isn't a huge concern. His iron play has been sharp, as he's gained strokes on Approach in each of his last six starts.
No. 8 - Tony Finau
2025 has been a forgettable season to this point for Tony Finau. However, his elite track record in the 3M Open can't be ignored this week. Over his last five trips to TPC Twin Cities, Finau has recorded a win and three additional top-12 finishes.

He showed some signs of life last week at the Open before fading over the weekend. That outing, coupled with some encouraging results in May and June, leads to optimism that Finau's arrow can continue pointing up in an event where he's had so much prior success.
No. 7 - Adam Scott
The ageless Aussie certainly brings a touch of class to this rather ho-hum 3M Open field. Despite being one of the Tour's oldest regulars at 45 years old, Scott is still getting it done with the driver, and currently stands 32nd in SG: OTT on the PGA Tour.
He had a disappointing week at Royal Portrush, but had gained strokes T2G in six consecutive starts leading up to the year's final major championship. Thanks to a sluggish start to the season, Scott is currently projected at 86th in the FedEx Cup Points Standings. He'll head to Minnesota highly motivated to play well and secure a berth in the playoffs.
No. 6 - Wyndham Clark
It's been a brutal year for Wyndham Clark both on and off the course, as frequent bad play has led to bullish antics and media scrutiny following a post-round outburst at Oakmont last month that resulted in a ban from the grounds.

However, Clark appears to have found something in Europe, as he put together what was unquestionably his best two-week stretch of the year at the Scottish & Open Championships. After closing out the final 54 holes at Portrush in blistering form, he'll look to continue rehabbing his game and image this week on a TPC Twin Cities layout that fits his game perfectly on paper.
No. 5 - Max Greyserman
Following a less-than-fruitful trip to Europe, Greyserman will look to get back on the horse at a TPC Twin Cities layout that suits his skill set much better than the links courses he encountered in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Prior to missed cuts in each of the last two weeks, Greyserman was on a very nice roll that consisted of nine straight made cuts, including a playoff runner-up at the Rocket Classic, as well as top-25 results at both the U.S. Open and Memorial. A solo runner-up finish in last year's 3M Open indicates what a terrific fit this is for him. Greyserman has absolutely feasted at these mid-tier events over the past 12 months.
No. 4 - Taylor Pendrith
Prior to coming up short at Royal Portrush, Pendrith had made seven consecutive cuts and logged four top-25 finishes among those outings. The Canadian has wielded the driver beautifully in 2025 and currently stands stands seventh on the PGA Tour in SG: OTT while averaging just over 310 yards per drive.
That power game helped Pendrith to a solo fifth-place finish in last year's 3M Open, an event in which he fired three rounds of 67 or better. With his ability off the tee and stout recent form, he should once again be firmly in the mix on this layout.
No. 3 - Chris Gotterup
Arguably the hottest player in the world not named Scheffler or McIlroy, Gotterup's recent trip to Europe proved to be a life changer, as he captured the Genesis Scottish Open title after a final-round stare down with the aforementioned McIlroy, and followed that career high point with what looks to be - as of this writing - his best career major-championship finish at Portrush.
Less than two weeks ago, Chris Gotterup stepped onto an international flight ranked 158th in the world and with $2.7 million in career earnings. He’s gonna return home as potentially a top-30 player with double that total.

A winner last year at Myrtle Beach, this recent run isn't a fluke, but feels more like a very talented young player growing comfortable at the PGA Tour level. Gotterup is a certified bomber who averages just over 316 yards off the tee. He's a perfect fit for this driver-heavy layout that's rewarded long hitters in the past. The big concern here - and it's a legitimate one - is that the 25-year-old simply runs out of gas following his magical run of the past two weeks.
No. 2 - Maverick McNealy
McNealy has quietly put together a banger of a 2025. Rock-solid outings in both the Scottish and The Open are just the latest in the California native's strong run of results. McNealy has missed just one cut since The PLAYERS Championship in March, logging three top-five finishes across his last 12 starts.
In addition to the excellent form, the Stanford alum has been sharp in previous 3M appearances. A T3 in last year's edition came after a T16 in a 2021 trip to TPC Twin Cities.
No. 1 - Sam Burns
Burns returns to U.S. soil following an underwhelming trip across the pond in which he made the cut in both the Scottish and The Open with mediocre results. This driver-heavy TPC Twin Cities layout will undoubtedly suit Burns' game much better than the links courses he's faced over the last couple of weeks.

He recorded a T12 in last year's visit to Minnesota - his first start in the 3M since a T32 back in 2020. Prior to his European action, Burns had been one of the PGA Tour's hottest players. The LSU product had logged five consecutive top-20 finishes on U.S. soil ahead of the Genesis Scottish Open. A high-end driver of the ball and elite putter, this event sets up perfectly for the trending Burns.
