NFL DFS: Jets vs Vikings DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Football Picks - London Showdown Slate (Week 5)

Today's top NFL DFS lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel -- Jets vs Vikings London showdown slate for Week 5 (October 6, 2024). Koby's NFL daily fantasy sleeper picks.

We are back again, RotoBallers! Thursday Night Football was a banger for once and an absolute shootout. I would have been close to taking down a tournament if Chris Godwin had done more. Alas, maybe today is the day we make that happen. The London games have trended towards low scoring in general over the last few years, and with a couple of stout defenses on tap, I would expect that trend to continue.

Thanks to today's advanced analytics, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups, etc., to help you build the best single-game contest lineups!

I will provide you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Jets vs Vikings NFL DFS showdown slate for Sunday, October 6, 2024. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. If you have any questions, follow me on X @DFSKoby and fire away, or sign up for a premium RotoBaller NFL package and chat with me and other NFL DFS analysts whenever you'd like!

MVP/Captain - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Justin Jefferson - WR, $17,400 (DK), $17,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 20 receptions, 358 receiving yards, and four touchdowns

I have a feeling this one is going to be pass-heavy. Both teams have stout run defenses, which could lead to longer down opportunities. Justin has a tough matchup, as the Jets' defense has been solid against WRs this season, but if there is anyone who can make room and make plays, it is Justin. The only downfall to playing Jefferson is that he is very expensive this week and we are going to be a little starved for value.

Aaron Rodgers - QB, $13,500 (DK), $11,500 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2024 Stats: 27 receptions, 322 receiving yards, and three touchdowns

I think he is one of the better captain plays on the slate. He is quite a bit cheaper than some of the guys at the top of the board, and I think they will be throwing the ball quite a bit. Breece Hall looked terrible last week, and now they have one of the toughest matchups. The Vikings have given up the second-least number of yards this season, and they have only given up one rushing touchdown.

We are still waiting on the Aaron Rodgers boom game this season. This could be that game. It has been challenging to pinpoint which WR for the Jets will pop off, so I'd take the safer route and go with Rodgers instead.

Other Captains/MVPs: Sam Darnold, Garrett Wilson

Flex Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Aaron Jones - RB, $9,200 (DK), $12,000 (FD)

Key Stats

  • 2023 Stats: 20 receptions, 200 receiving yards, and two touchdowns

I know. I just said that the running backs have a tough matchup this week. But that is what's great about Aaron Jones: he gets it done on the receiving side, too. Across the last three games, he has been targeted 17 times and caught 14 of those targets. On top of that, Aaron Jones is the perfect check-down piece when the Jets' pass rush comes in hot.

Allen Lazard- WR, $6,600 (DK), $9,500 (FD)

Lazard and Rodgers' chemistry from the Green Bay Packers days has shown so far this season. Lazard has been one of Rodgers's go-to targets, and Minnesota's weakness has been the passing game; they have given up the third most fantasy points to opposing WRs this season. This makes Garrett Wilson and Mike Williams intriguing, too, so make sure to get a little piece of each guy when making your lineups.

Other Flex Options: Jordan Addison, Sam Darnold

Value Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Will Reichard - K, $4,800 (DK), $8,500 (FD)

The Jets' defense has been studs in the red zone this season, only allowing their opponents to score a TD in the red zone on 36% of tries, which is good for fourth-best in the league. That being said, if the Viking's offense gets stopped, they could rely on the rookie kicker to continue his perfect streak to start the season. His longest this season is 58, so the leg is there to get the job done.

Tyler Conklin - TE, $3,200 (DK), $7,000 (FD)

In the last two weeks, we have seen Tyler finally start to get targeted more. He has seen 14 targets across the previous two games and caught nine. If Rodgers could find him in the endzone, we would be golden. He is super cheap at only 7.5k on FD and just 3.2k on FD. The Vikings have also given up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing TEs, making him a solid target for so cheap.

Other Value Plays: Jets D/ST, Vikings D/ST, Mike Williams

Enjoy your night, and good luck, everyone!
