NFL DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Steelers vs. Bills Daily Fantasy Football Picks - Monday Showdown Slate (Super Wild Card Weekend)

James Cook - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Today's top NFL DFS lineup picks for DraftKings, FanDuel - Steelers vs. Bills Monday showdown slate for Wildcard Weekend (Jan 15, 2024). Kipp's NFL daily fantasy sleeper picks.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! We have what could end up being a pretty fun showdown today as we have a battle between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills in a Super Wild Card Weekend matchup.

We've been pretty successful over the past few seasons with these showdown slates and hopefully, that trend continues from last year into this year. Most of us started our fantasy journeys with football, so it's always nice when it comes around. Thanks to the advanced analytics of today, I'll do my best to provide you with as much in-depth analysis as possible regarding positional matchups and the like to help put some lunch money in your pocket. Let's make some coin this season gang, and let's get right to it.

I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks on FanDuel and DraftKings for the Steelers vs. Bills showdown slate on January 15. These NFL DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on both DraftKings and FanDuel. MVP/Captain - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

James Cook - RB, $13,800 (DK), $11,500 (FD)

Key Stats - 2023 Stats: 1,567 yards from scrimmage and six total touchdowns

James Cook has been a monster down the stretch as he has now handled the ball an average of 20 times per game over the previous four weeks. He has also averaged over 83 rushing yards per game and scored twice over this same span. The matchup against Pittsburgh is solid as well as they have allowed an average of over 96 rushing yards per game to the running back position on the season, which ranks 10th-worst in the league. The weather in this game is also supposed to be awful with sustained winds of 25 mph, which should lend a hand to both team's rushing attacks.

Najee Harris - RB, $12,600 (DK), $10,500 (FD)

Key Stats - 2023 Stats: 1,205 yards from scrimmage and eight total touchdowns

As aforementioned, the weather in Orchard Park is going to be rough, so we are going to look at Najee Harris on the other side of this game. He has handled the ball an average of 22 times per game over the previous four weeks. He has also rushed for over 100 yards in each of the previous three games while scoring three total touchdowns. The Bills have allowed nearly 82 rushing yards per game to running backs on the season and have given up 11 total touchdowns to the position.

Other Captains/MVPs: Stefon Diggs, Josh Allen

Flex Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Dalton Kincaid - TE, $5,800 (DK), $10,000 (FD)

Key Stats - 2023 Stats: 91 targets, 73 receptions, 673 receiving yards, and two touchdowns

Dalton Kincaid has seen 15 targets over the previous two games and has managed to haul in 11 receptions for 171 receiving yards over that span. The weather being what it is means that the short passing game should be the way to go through the air and Kincaid fits that bill as his aDOT for the season sits at 6.3 yards. The Steelers have given up an average of 49 receiving yards per game to the tight end position. They have also allowed seven receiving touchdowns to the position, which ranks tied for fourth-worst in the league.

Jaylen Warren- RB, $6,400 (DK), $9,000 (FD)

Key Stats - 1,154 yards from scrimmage and four total touchdowns

I want to start by saying I do not recommend playing both Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren in the same lineup, so making a selection here would be wise. Warren has averaged over five targets per game over the previous five weeks, so he will be most valuable on Draft Kings where they have a PPR format. The Bills have allowed 85 receptions to the running back position this season, which is tied for 10th-worst in the league. They have also allowed the sixth-most receiving yards to the position by allowing an average of nearly 42 yards per game.

Other Flex Options: George Pickens, Gabe Davis

Value Plays - NFL DFS Lineup Picks

Khalil Shakir - WR, $5,600 (DK), $8,000 (FD)

Key Stats - 2023 Stats: 45 targets, 39 receptions, 611 receiving yards, two touchdowns.

Shakir has seen an average of five targets per game over the previous two weeks and is fresh off of a six-reception, 105-yard receiving night against the Dolphins last week. He is more than capable of taking a short screen to the house, and given the weather, this might be the route the Bills take to get him involved in the offense. The Steelers have been average against the position by allowing an average of 161 receiving yards per game, but this is a spot where Shakir could have a solid game with much of the focus being placed on Stefon Diggs.

Pat Freiermuth - TE, $4,200 (DK), $7,500 (FD)

Key Stats - 2023 Stats: 47 targets, 32 receptions, 308 receiving yards, and two touchdowns

Pat Freiermuth has seen nearly five targets per game over the previous seven weeks. He has also averaged over three receptions and 35 receiving yards per game over that span. Buffalo has allowed 45 receiving yards and just three touchdowns to the tight end position this season, but again, I go back to the weather and believe the short passing game will be crucial in this one and Freiermuth fits the mold.

Other Value Play Options: Bills D/ST

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and good luck everyone!
