NBA DFS: Top Daily Fantasy Expert Picks for DraftKings, FanDuel (3/19/24)

Anthony Edwards - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News - rotoballer icon

Free daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings and FanDuel. Use Max Kulish's NBA DFS expert picks to building winning DFS lineups on March 19, 2024.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Tonight we've got a five-game slate. These articles focus on the overall best plays, which are typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.

The key to being successful in NBA DFS comes down to making adjustments during the day as injury information becomes available. But it's always really important to have a game plan and the best players and spots circled first before making those adjustments. To keep up with all the latest developments and get access to updated projections, grab an NBA season pass and also gain access to our RotoBaller Premium Discord where @chiefjustice6 is talking about the slate up until lineups lock!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/19/24. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome NBA injuries report tool, as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7:00 p.m. EDT on FanDuel and DraftKings. As always, feel free to follow my X/Twitter (@Maxadelphia) to keep up to date with NBA news and for my nightly NBA bets if you're into that sort of thing. Let's go!

Today's NBA DFS Core Picks

Tonight's slate is extremely well-balanced, making it great for both cash and tournament players. With solid options at all price points, choosing the correct foundational pieces for your lineup will determine your success.

The two games featuring the three Texas teams stand out from the other three games to choose from tonight. Rockets at Wizards (229 implied total) and Mavericks at Spurs (231.5 implied points) are the only two games with implied totals of at least 220, let alone the 230 range. Most lineups, especially ones built using an optimizer, are going to feature multiple Wizards, but how many are too many?

  1. Victor Wembanyama, SAS vs. DAL – C ($10.6K DK; $11.4K FD)
  2. Anthony Edwards, MIN vs DEN – SG/SF ($9.8K DK; $10.2K FD)
  3. Zion Williamson, NO @ BKN – PF ($8.7K DK; $9.1K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Value Picks

How many Wizards are too many Wizards? The answer to that question will be determined by Kyle Kuzma's status. Kuzma missed the Wizards' last game (March 17 at Boston), and should he miss tonight's game, that would mean the Wizards' most expensive player would be Jordan Poole at $6.6K. All of the rest of the impact players on the Wizards are priced at $5.5K or less, making them the golden standard for value tonight. If he does play, Kuzma is worth consideration for cash and tournament games alike.

After Naz Reid left last night's game early, the Timberwolves frontcourt looks to be spearheaded by Luka Garza. However, with no real answer for Nikola Jokic, don't be surprised to see the Wolves roll with smaller lineups.

Top Value Plays:

  1. Washington Wizards, WAS vs HOU – All positions
  2. Nickeil Alexander-Walker, MIN vs DEN – SG/SF ($5K DK; $5.1K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Point Guard

The Mavericks' star backcourt duo are the top two options at PG tonight. They both are in a dream matchup against the Spurs, and both have been playing exceptionally lately. On the San Antonio side, Tre Jones has scored 30+ fantasy points in four of his last five games.

Top PG Options:

  1. Luka Doncic, DAL @ SAS – ($12.5K DK; $12.7K FD)
  2. Kyrie Irving, DAL @ SAS – ($9.2K DK; $9.9K FD)
  3. Tre Jones, SAS vs DAL – ($5.6K DK; $6K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Shooting Guard

The best options tonight are all volume scorers. SG doesn't offer many "safe" options tonight, so be ready to swing for the fences.

Top SG Options:

  1. Nickeil Alexander-Walker, MIN vs DEN – SG/SF ($5K DK; $5.1K FD)
  2. Cam Thomas, BKN vs NO – ($7.2K DK; $9.4K FD)
  3. Jalen Green, HOU at WAS – ($8.1K DK; $7.9K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Small Forward

Fresh off throwing down the dunk of the season, and another 51+ fantasy point performance, Anthony Edwards is playing as well as anyone in the league. Antman has posted 51+ fantasy points in five of his last six games and is taking more than 26 shots per game in that span.

Top SF Options:

  1. Anthony Edwards, MIN vs DEN – ($9.8K DK; $10.2K FD)
  2. Justin Champagnie, WAS vs HOU ($4.2K DK; $5.2K FD)
  3. Jaden McDaniels, MIN vs DEN ($4.8K DK; $4.9K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Power Forward

PF is the most versatile position on the slate tonight overall, but if Kyle Kuzma misses tonight's game, Patrick Baldwin becomes a borderline must-play and will instantly become one of the most popular plays on the slate tonight.

Top PF Options:

  1. Kyle Kuzma, WAS vs HOU – ($8.2K DK; $8.3K FD)
  2. Zion Williamson, NO @ BKN – ($8.7K DK; $9.1K FD)
  3. Kyle Anderson, MIN vs DEN ($5.7K DK; $6.8K FD)

Today's NBA DFS Picks: Center

Wemby's ridiculous ceiling and lack of a price increase make him the best cash play on the slate. Jokic has played mostly beneath his lofty standards for the last week plus, but catches an undermanned Timberwolves front court.

Top C Options:

  1. Victor Wembanyama, SAS vs. DAL – ($10.6K DK; $11.4K FD)
  2. Richaun Holmes, WAS vs HOU - ($4.7K DK; $5.4K FD)
  3. Nikola Jokic, DEN @ MIN – ($12.1K DK; $11.9K FD)

Today's Top NBA DFS Game Stacks

  1. Mavericks at Spurs (231.5 total)
  2. Rockets at Wizards (229 total)
  3. Nuggets at Timberwolves (212.5 total)

Today's Top NBA DFS Avoids

  1. Hornets at Magic is gross with a measly implied total. Pass.
  2. The Mavs frontcourt is a clogged mess.
  3. The Wizards are a prime spot for value tonight, but I'm going to pass on Corey Kispert in cash.

My Favorite NBA DFS Picks for Today

Here is where I leave you with some of my favorites.

  • My favorite overall play on the slate: Anthony Edwards
  • My favorite CASH play on the slate: Victor Wembanyama
  • My favorite GPP play on the slate: Jalen Green
  • My favorite value play: Washington Wizards starters
