MLB Parlays Today - Best Baseball Parlay Picks and Predictions (4/30/2025)

Chris Sale - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Thunder Dan Palyo's MLB prediction picks and parlays for April 30, 2025. Best free MLB parlay picks today for same game parlays, strikeout props and home run props to parlay.

Welcome, sports bettors, to the first edition of our free MLB picks and parlays. If you enjoy baseball betting, then I think you will like what we have in store for you with today's MLB picks.

MLB betting can take many forms, from wagering on straight bets on game outcomes or player props, to building MLB parlays using any combination of bets and props. This MLB season, I intend to bring you a variety of different ways to wager on a baseball game and my free MLB picks for the entire baseball season.

This article will feature my favorite MLB predictions, including various parlays such as a free MLB moneyline parlay, same game parlay, and player prop bet parlays. I'll be using DraftKings or FanDuel Sportsbook to find the best betting odds for today's MLB picks, but you should check the betting odds on various books to find the best values. Alright, baseball bettors, let's take a look at which parlays are the best bets for Wednesday, April 30.

MLB Parlays Today: Best Moneyline Parlays

  • Chicago Cubs ML (-175)
  • Philadelphia Phillies ML (-230)

Entire parlay odds: +135 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

The Cubs easily dispatched the Pirates yesterday in a 9-0 victory. Lefties have handled the Bucs lately, and Shota Imanaga pitched very well before leaving early with an injury. Matthew Boyd is on the hill tonight for Chicago and has performed well for the Cubs this season with a 2.54 ERA through five starts. The Pirates counter with Carmen Mlodzinski, a young righty who has struggled to a 6.95 ERA and should have his hands full with a very tough Cubs lineup.

The Phillies have a big advantage in their game with Cristopher Sanchez on the mound against Jake Irvin. As long as Sanchez is healthy, he's easily the much better pitcher and gets the Nats on the wrong side of their platoon splits. The Phillies have the better offense and are better against RHP, while Irvin's batted ball metrics suggest his 3.19 ERA is probably not going to last long. Let's hope the Philly bullpen doesn't make us sweat this one out like they did yesterday!

MLB Parlays Today: Best Same Game Parlays

Something I'd like to establish here is that parlays can come in all types and sizes. Everyone loves to build a wild eight-leg parlay with massive odds, but those bets should be made for fun and not as part of a sustainable betting plan.

My goal when creating a parlay is to improve the odds on several bets that I like a lot, but do not want to pay the juice to bet as straights. So my goal is to get any two or three-leg parlay to +100 odds or better. These types of bets can be beneficial for building your bankroll, as they prevent you from having to redeposit funds into your sportsbook account as often.

So, in summary, consider making some of those lottery ticket parlays with a little pocket change, but reserve full units for the types of parlays I'm going to pitch you today.

One game stands out to me today, and it's the (no longer slumping) Atlanta Braves in Colorado against the (seemingly always slumping) Rockies.

The Braves had little trouble with the Rockies last night, winning 8-2 and dominating on both offense and defense, as their fifth starter, AJ Smith-Shawver, worked five pretty clean innings with five strikeouts.

Atlanta sends the veteran Chris Sale to the mound tonight. Despite some struggles with run prevention, Sale is still getting strikeouts in bunches, and left-handers have dominated Colorado this season.

This bet is quite simple, as we are going to pair the Atlanta moneyline with a safe number of strikeouts for Sale and drop the Atlanta team total a few runs just in case they don't handle Rockies rookie Chase Dollander as easily as they did German Marquez last night.

  • Atlanta Moneyline
  • Chris Sale 6+ Strikeouts
  • Braves Team Total over 4.5 Runs

Entire Parlay odds: +100 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

MLB Parlays Today: Best Strikeout Props to Parlay

We have only a few true aces on the bump today and a lot of end-of-the-rotation arms, including some pitchers like Tony Gonsolin and Noah Cameron who haven't pitched in the majors yet this season.

I'm going to avoid using Sale in these parlays, since I included his strikeouts in the Same Game Parlay, but he has the best matchup against the Rockies.

The top two strikeout artists on the slate today are Sanchez of the Philadelphia Phillies and Michael King of the San Diego Padres. Both pitchers enter with a 29.5 K percentage on the season and have been mowing down hitters with ease.

Sanchez left his last start early, but needed only one extra day of rest and has been cleared to pitch today, facing a matchup he can win against the Washington Nationals. King has been lights out lately, going for eight, seven, and nine strikeouts in his last three starts.

We will be building two alt-prop parlays here today for some added safety. While I like King and Sanchez to both go over their listed number, dropping King's prop from 6.5 to 5.5 here makes this parlay more attainable while still maintaining some value.

  • Michael King 6+ Strikeouts
  • Cristopher Sanchez 6+ Strikeouts

Entire parlay odds: +152 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

For my second strikeout prop parlay, I am targeting some younger, less reliable arms, but at a much lower number, too.

Landen Roupp has been good this season in terms of generating strikeouts. He has four or more in all but one start, as he struggled with his control in his last outing against Milwaukee. I'll be pairing him with Kansas City rookie Cameron.

While it can be risky targeting a guy in his MLB debut, Cameron has demonstrated some serious strikeout capability in the minors. He had a 29 percent K percentage last season at Triple-A and is at 30 percent so far this year. Cameron faces a Rays offense that is ice cold and has been striking out at a 23.5 percent clip against left-handed pitchers (LHP) over the last two weeks.

Both pitchers have their prop set at 4.5 strikeouts today, so let's drop it down another strikeout to create a very reachable floor.

  • Landen Roupp 4+ Strikeouts
  • Noah Cameron 4+ Strikeouts

Entire Parlay odds: +135 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

MLB Parlays Today: Best Hitter Props to Parlay

In this section, I will be targeting some hitter props such as hits, total bases, or hits/runs/RBI. Today, we are going with a very simple three-leg hits prop. All three hitters are in good form and have very favorable matchups.

I don't use BvP (batter vs. pitcher) stats too often, but I couldn't help but notice that both Freeman and Rodriguez had outstanding numbers against their opposing pitchers, too. PCA is one of the hottest hitters in baseball, going up against the Pirates' worst starter.

Entire Parlay Odds: +166 (DraftKings Sportsbook)

To wrap up today’s MLB betting breakdown, remember that consistency, value, and strategy are key to success when building winning MLB parlays. Whether you’re locking in a moneyline parlay, riding strikeout props, or targeting hitters in favorable matchups, staying disciplined and shopping for the best odds across sportsbooks like DraftKings and FanDuel can make a real difference in your long-term bankroll.
