Corbin Carroll - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB News, Draft Kit

Welcome back, RotoBallers! My name is Brandon, and this is my debut with the MLB team! You can find me and my work with the NHL and Soccer teams, respectively!

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/7/2025, with the slate starting at 7:10 p.m. EDT. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Michael King at ATH - DK $9.2K || FD $8.7K

There are a few options on the mound tonight, however, Michael King of the Padres and Kodai Senga of the Mets take the cake. King struggled on Opening Day against the Braves, getting pulled after two innings. However, he turned right around, striking out 11 in five innings against the Guardians.

The Athletics are the third-worst team in strikeout percentage against right-handed pitchers over the short season and sit just above the bottom-ten in both wOBA and wRC+. The ex-Yankee is projected to register seven strikeouts in this away matchup.

Kodai Senga vs. MIA - DK $9K || FD $9.3K

The next man up to the mound is Kodai Senga. The Marlins are a bottom-three club to start the season across the board versus right-handed pitchers. Although they are the ninth-best in strikeout percentage.

Senga has only made one start so far this season–against the Marlins–striking out eight in five innings. He also allowed three hits, one home run, one walk, four runs, and two earned runs. The Mets pitcher is projected to produce six strikeouts.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Pete Alonso. - 1B, NYM vs. Tyler Phillips (DK $5.5K || FD $3.9K)

Pistol Pete Alonso is on fire to start the season. In his last five games, 22 at-bats, he has produced six singles, two doubles, three home runs, three walks, six runs, and 10 RBIs. Out of all hitters on the Mets roster to get at least five at-bats this season, Alonso has the best wOBA–.476–and SLG–.773–against right-handed pitchers this season.

Tyler Phillips looks to be the projected starter for the Miami Marlins. However, they may go to their bullpen quickly. Nevertheless, Phillips has done well in a small sample size, holding both the Pirates and the Mets. In 2024, though, he was a bottom-three pitcher in wOBA, OPS, wRC+, and ISO. Expect Alonso to keep his strong form going.

Maikel Garcia - 2B/3B, KC vs. Simeon Woods Richardson  (DK $4.6K || FD $3K)

Can Maikel Garcia break out of his inconsistencies against Simeon Woods Richardson? The hybrid second and third baseman in his last five games and 15 at-bats has four singles, two doubles, one home run, one stolen base, three runs, and five RBIs.

On the Royals roster, Garcia has the second-best wOBA against right-handed pitchers at .429. Simeon Woods Richardson has one start under his belt this season against the Chicago White Sox, where he landed five strikeouts in four innings while allowing five hits, one walk, two runs, and two earned runs. Richardson has a few strengths from 2024, but overall, he struggled. Can his early-season dominance shine, or will Garcia knock him out of the park?

Jake Cronenworth - 2B, SD vs. Luis Severino (DK $4K || FD $2.9K)

Jake Cronenworth is far from ideal with his current form, and his matchup against projected starter Luis Severino is not any better. He produced 12 strikeouts in two starts and allowed nine hits, two home runs, seven walks, six runs, and five earned runs.

In Cronenworth’s most recent five appearances and 14 at-bats, he has three singles, one double, three runs, and one RBI. Will the second baseman finally see positive regression?

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Corbin Carroll. - OF, ARI vs. Zach Eflin (DK $5.7K || FD $3.8K)

The Arizona Diamondbacks are expected to be a popular stack tonight, and outfielder Corbin Carroll is likely to be one of the top-owned bats. Carroll, in his last five games and 20 at-bats, has six singles, one double, one triple, two home runs, three walks, four runs, and three RBIs. Furthermore, against right-handed pitchers, he has the best wOBA (.556) and SLG (.957) on the Diamondbacks roster, and it isn't a competition.

Projected Orioles starter Zach Eflin has had two starts so far this season in which he produced seven strikeouts while allowing 10 hits, two home runs, one walk, and five runs and earned runs. In 2024, the pitcher was below average across the board, and this season shouldn't be any different. Carroll is projected to have a big night.

Jackson Merrill - OF, SD vs. Luis Severino (DK $5.2K || FD $3.6K)

Another outfielder who is expected to lead his team tonight is Jackson Merrill of the San Diego Padres. Merrill has been swinging lights out. Throughout his last five appearances and 20 at-bats, he has accumulated seven singles, one double, three home runs, two walks, one stolen base, five runs, and five RBIs.

As mentioned above, Luis Severino has been throwing well to start the season, however, he is expected to see negative regression sooner rather than later. Will it be against Merrill and the power-hitting Padres? The latter has a wOBA of .575 and an SLG of .800.

Wyatt Langford - OF, TEX vs. Justin Steele (DK $4.2K || FD $3.4K)

The last bat, Wyatt Langford, saddles up in Texas against lefty Justin Steele. Steele is one of a few pitchers to have three starts already this season. In those starts, he struck out 13 and allowed 18 hits, five home runs, three walks, and 12 runs and earned runs.

Langford is nothing spectacular to start the season, boasting a .406 wOBA and a .625 SLG against left-handed pitchers. Although those numbers are second-best on the Rangers roster. Can Steele run rampant, or will Langford and the Rangers tame the big arm?

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Zach Eflin

As mentioned, Zach Eflin was a below-average pitcher in 2024, and this year isn't any more promising. He has given up 10 hits, two home runs, and five earned runs in two starts. In 2024, he was in the bottom 70 in both K/9+ and WHIP+.

With the Diamondbacks in the top-three in all major hitting metrics against right-handed pitchers to start the season and top-ten in strikeout percentage, they may force Eflin to retire early.

Favorite Combo: Carroll, Smith, Naylor, Gurriel

2. Minnesota Twins vs. Michael Lorenzen

Minnesota is hitting well below expectations right now. The Twins are bottom-ten across the board but are top-ten in strikeout percentage against right-handed pitchers. Luckily, they get Lorenzen, who gave up five hits and four runs in his season debut against the Milwaukee Brewers.

In 2024, he was in the bottom 50 in both K/9+ and Stuff+.

Favorite Combo: Wallner, Correa, Buxton, Larnach

3. Kansas City Royals vs. Simeon Woods Richardson

Simeon Woods Richardson has his moments. However, a bottom 30 Stuff+ in 2024 screams lousy pitcher. His other metrics are good enough to keep him relevant, but if he cannot control his pitches, it doesn't matter. It will ultimately come down to the Royals and how well they are seeing the ball.

They are bottom-five in strikeout percentage to right-handed pitchers this season, and they are bottom-ten in everything else.

Favorite Combo: India, Pasquantino, Canha, Garcia
