MLB DFS Picks Today: Daily Fantasy Baseball Strategy and Tips For FanDuel, DraftKings (4/15/25)

Shohei Ohtani - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Jamie's top DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks for today, Tuesday, 4/15/25. His favorite daily fantasy baseball lineup sleepers and value picks for DFS on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to another Tuesday edition of the RotoBaller MLB DFS picks! I'm playing with house money tonight after overloading my stacks with Dodgers and Tigers (both hit!). Those are two of my top stacks again tonight, so we will see many similar players for this writeup.

Tonight, we have 11 games to tackle, and thankfully there are more warm(er)-weather games than cold this evening. With more than one cheap, viable pitcher tonight, it will be very interesting to see how lineups are constructed.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/15/2025, with the slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will showcase elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is always essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Hunter Brown, HOU ($10K DK/$10.5K FD)

Tonight's an odd night, where the majority of the per-dollar plays at SP are cheaper. However, Hunter Brown comes in with immense K upside. His swinging strike rate is at a career high 13.1%, and his 2.00/2.25/2.58 pitching slash suggests that everything we're seeing is real.

St. Louis isn't the best matchup for K's against righties, as they can generally pack the top of the lineup with lefty bats. However, Brown's arsenal of pitches should be able to neutralize them enough, and his K upside plays well in GPPs. It also helps that the forecast is projecting to be cold with the wind blowing in.

Jeffrey Springs, ATH ($8.2K DK/$9.4K FD)

Jeffrey Springs is going to be the most popular SP tonight, and with good reason. This is the current projected lineup in the major leagues in April for the Chicago White Sox...

Seriously, you can't help but feel bad for White Sox fans who are paying money to see that product every. Predictably, they're last in wOBA, OPS, and ISO, and that lineup does not suggest anything will change.

Springs is also a good pitcher, with a projected 28.9 CSW in this matchup (he was at 28.3 a year ago). Even at his elevated price tag on FD, he's worth playing as your SP, and he's a stone-cold lock on DK at $8,200.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Freddie Freeman, LAD ($5K DK/$3.7K FD)

The Dodgers stack came through last night against Antonio Senzatela, and you'll want to go back to the well tonight. Ryan Feltner is more capable of missing bats, but the Dodgers once again have a bottom-five K% to kick off 2025.

Since the beginning of last year, Freddie Freeman has smoked RHP to the tune of a .389 wOBA and .220 ISO and will bat third for an L.A. squad sporting an IRT of 5.4 runs.

Jazz Chisholm Jr., NYY ($5.6K DK/$3.2K FD)

The Yankees continued their home run barrage last night, hitting four solo shots off Seth LugoToday, they face Michael Wacha, whose current 17.5 percent K rate is a career low. He's also walking 12.7 percent of batters to start 2025 and has a 5.19 xFIP. Even if we expect those splits to normalize, utilizing Yankee lefties with the short RF porch is a strong bet tonight.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. had been mired in a well-publicized slump since calling MLB fans "idiots", but he's homered in two straight games, and his barrel rate is trending back up. He's ridiculously underpriced on FanDuel.

Ben Rice, NYY ($3.8K DK/$3.3K FD)

Ben Rice has been a revelation for the Yanks this year. He's leading off almost daily and has come storming out of the gate, firing with a .474 wOBA and .380 ISO. In addition, his K rate is down almost four percent from last year, and his walk rate is up 5.5 percent.

BABIP indicates that regression, of course, will come. However, it may not come to the extent we'd expect, and he's still far too cheap as a leadoff hitter in Yankee Stadium with the platoon edge.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shohei Ohtani, LAD ($6.5K DK/$4.5K FD)

Shohei Ohtani is easily the highest-rated hitter overall tonight, and he's not difficult to fit into lineups with the fact that several cheap pitchers are viable tonight. The Dodgers star is doing what he does, with a .477 xwOBA and 160 wRC+. He's crushing righties again and is worth the price of admission tonight.

Tyler O'Neill, BAL ($4.7K DK/$3.1K FD)

Baltimore is a sneaky good platoon stack tonight, and Tyler O'Neill is affordable on both sites. Logan Allen's 26.3 percent CSW is among the lowest on the slate, and his xFIP since the beginning of last year is almost two runs higher than his ERA.

In addition, Allen has given up a career .363 wOBA and 1.50 HR/9 to RHB, while O'Neill has a .393 wOBA and .270 ISO against lefties since the beginning of last year.

Kerry Carpenter, DET ($3.7K DK/$3.1K FD)

Kerry Carpenter's breakout season is upon us. He's right up there with the league leaders in homers, and has three straight multi-hit games. The Tigers stack hit yesterday, and Detroit lefties are a solid attack point again tonight.

Quinn Priester has been obliterated by LHB in his young career to the tune of a .416 wOBA and 2.33 HR/9. Carpenter has a .397 wOBA against righties since the beginning of last year.

Others To Consider (CASH/GPP):

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Los Angeles Dodgers vs Ryan Feltner

The Dodgers have an IRT of 5.4 tonight, which is by far the highest on the slate (and the only one above five runs). Feltner has similar splits across the board, so you can attack with any combo of Dodgers. The top of the order looks the most appetizing, and a pitching combo of Springs/Kikuchi/Charlie Morton can make that happen.

Favorite Combo: Ohtani, Betts, Freeman, T. Hernandez

2. New York Yankees vs Michael Wacha

Wacha has given cause for concern as a pitcher this year. His velocity is down, his walk rate is up, his K rate is down, and he's allowing a career-high hard-hit rate. All that adds up to a recipe for disaster against a Yankees squad that is leading the majors in both OPS and homers.

Favorite Combo: Rice, Judge, Bellinger, Chisholm

3. Detroit Tigers vs Quinn Priester

This is a straight platoon stack, as Priester's splits are extreme. As I pointed out, he's been crushed by lefties so far in his career, so the way Detroit sets up its lineup will be critical. It's likely we'll see Riley Greene and Colt Keith return to the lineup tonight, which would put at least four lefties in the top six (cha-ching).

Favorite Combo: Carpenter, Greene, Keith, McKinstry
