MLB DFS: DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (7/9/24) - Today's Top Lineups

Brenton Doyle - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Free daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for today's slate on DraftKings, FanDuel. Use Euan's MLB DFS expert picks to build winning DFS lineups on July 9, 2024.

Happy Tuesday, RotoBallers! It's the last Tuesday DFS slate for a while due to the All-Star break, and MLB ensured it's a jam-packed evening. 11 games occupy the main DFS slate on DraftKings and FanDuel, so let's buckle up for a high-scoring evening.

The Grimace Era may be winding down, but it's still a scary time to face the Mets. They rank inside the Top-5 in slugging, OPS, wOBA, and wRC+ against right-handed pitchers over the last 30 days. This could spell doom and gloom for the red-hot Jake Irvin and his 2.80 ERA. As for the weather, we are in proper summer form with no rain showers to worry about. Strong winds in Boston and New York may increase the chance of some balls leaving the park.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 7/9/2024 and the slate locking at 7:10 p.m. EDT. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ronel Blanco - RHP, HOU vs. Marlins ($10.0K DraftKings; $10.3K FanDuel)

After a surprising All-Star snub, Ronel Blanco returns to the mound against Miami. The 30-year-old has a 2.53 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP with 88 strikeouts in 96 innings. Blanco doesn't have the highest upside on the board, but it's a fantastic matchup against the Marlins. Over the last month, Miami strikes out the fifth-most versus right-handed pitchers (24.8%) and is anchored inside the bottom three for OPS (.602), wOBA (.262), and wRC+ (67). Every other premium pitcher has their warts on Tuesday, so DFS managers can feel confident rolling with Ronel Blanco in an easier contest against the Marlins.

Zac Gallen - RHP, ARI vs. Braves ($8.9K DK; $9.7K FD)

While Ronel Blanco is the safe option as a starting pitcher, Zac Gallen is the complete opposite in a matchup with Atlanta. Fortunately for DFS managers, the Diamondbacks RHP is pitching at home, where he has excelled in 2024. Through six starts and 36.2 innings, Gallen has a 1.72 ERA, 0.96 WHIP, and 38 strikeouts at Chase Field compared to a 4.65 ERA and 1.29 WHIP on the road. Atlanta is still a scary name on paper, but it's struggling in recent weeks. Since June 6, the Braves own the third-highest strikeout rate to RHPs (26.6%) and sit inside the bottom five for average (.220) and wOBA (.293).

Also Consider: Chris Sale at ARI, Bailey Ober at CWS, Brayan Bello vs. OAK, Jose Quintana vs. WSH

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Nolan Gorman - 2B, STL vs. Michael Wacha ($4.1K DK; $2.8K FD)

Position pricing is tight on Tuesday's slate, and DFS managers can't roster a lineup of $5.oK hitters. Therefore, Nolan Gorman becomes a great power-chasing option, given his current form and flashes of brilliance over the season. Since June 28, the second baseman has slashed .364/.400/.545 with five runs, nine RBI, three doubles, and one home run, averaging 8.1 DraftKings PPG. Furthermore, Gorman's .548 wOBA in July is 11th among 190 qualified hitters, so the slugging second baseman is in the groove as the summer progresses.

Brooks Lee - 3B/SS, MIN at Erick Fedde ($3.0K DK; $2.8K FD)

After Royce Lewis (groin) took another trip to the IL, Minnesota called up its No. 3 prospect in Brooks Lee. The infielder impressed in Triple-A and has done nothing but hit since his promotion to the majors. Lee is locked into the bottom third of Minnesota's lineup, but he's cheap enough on Tuesday's slate to be worth the hit. In five games since his call-up, the 2022 first-round pick owns a 1.160 OPS with three runs, six RBI, one double, and one home run, averaging 14.52 FanDuel PPG.

Jeremy Pena - SS, HOU vs. Trevor Rogers ($4.0K DK; $3.0K FD)

After a slow start to the year, the Astros are back above .500, and recently, they've been helped by Jeremy Pena's production. While his sensational rookie postseason may have been a flash in the pan, the Houston shortstop has enough potential in his bat to stick around close to the top half of this explosive Astros lineup. Over the last 10 games, the 26-year-old has a .856 OPS with nine runs, nine RBI, six extra-base hits (two home runs), and one stolen base, averaging 9.8 DK PPG. With so many talented hitters in front of Pena, there will be plenty of RBI opportunities against Trevor Rogers.

Also consider: Christian Walker, Jose Miranda, Willson Contreras, Ketel Marte, Carlos Correa

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Luis Robert Jr. - OF, CWS vs. Bailey Ober ($5.1K DK; $3.8K FD)

The trade rumors are beginning to swirl around the league, and there have been murmurings about Luis Robert Jr.'s availability. While the White Sox are shutting it down (for now), their outstanding outfielder is raising his stock at the right time if someone did go all-in for the 26-year-old. Over the last 10 games, Robert's .856 OPS is 60 points higher than his season-long line, and he's added seven runs, seven RBI, five extra-base hits, and four steals to his counting numbers.

Brenton Doyle - OF, COL at Frankie Montas ($4.5K DK; $3.1K FD)

The Rockies on the road are usually a hard fade, but playing in Great American Ballpark may be as close to home cooking as it comes for Colorado. Brenton Doyle is lighting up the DFS charts with his recent performances and should come in with sneakily low ownership, given the preconceived notions about the Rockies' away form. Since June 28, the 26-year-old has crushed to the tune of a .389/.463/.917 slash line with six runs, 11 RBI, four doubles, five home runs, and two steals. Doyle's Tuesday night price isn't incredibly elevated like it would be at Coors, so this is a chance for DFS managers to get a hot bat at a discounted price.

Jackson Chourio - OF, MIL vs. Quinn Priester ($3.7K DK; $2.8K FD)

With a left-handed hurler on the mound, Jackson Chourio will plummet down the Brewers lineup into the seventh or eighth slot. However, he's hitting the cover off the ball and deserves some DFS love despite a less-than-ideal batting spot. Over the last 10 games, Milwaukee's top prospect owns a 1.009 OPS with 16 combined runs and RBI, two doubles, two home runs, and two stolen bases, averaging 13.76 FD PPG. That's the 10th-highest mark among outfielders on tonight's slate, despite him being the 41st most expensive outfielder on FanDuel. Chourio is a massive value waiting for DFS managers to smash him into their lineups.

Also consider: Yordan Alvarez, Christian Yelich, Brent Rooker, Spencer Steer, Eric Haase
