DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Garrett Crochet vs. PIT ($10,300 DraftKings; $11,000 FanDuel)

Crochet was wild in his last outing against the Marlins, walking three batters over four innings. That was not the norm for him given that he had walked a total of just three batters over his previous four outings. What’s really exciting for him for DFS purposes is his 34.8% strikeout rate. His upside is off the charts against a Pirates team that has struck out the fifth-most times in baseball.

Joe Ryan at SF ($9,800 DraftKings; $9,800 FanDuel)

After finishing with a disappointing 4.41 ERA and 4.13 FIP last season, Ryan has a 3.29 ERA and 3.47 FIP this year. He has been significantly aided by his 3.7% walk rate that has left him with a 0.97 WHIP. The Giants have a .752 OPS against left-handed pitchers, but they have been limited to a .685 OPS by righties. He doesn’t have the strikeout upside that Crochet does, but Ryan is still one of the top starting pitchers to consider.

Sean Manaea vs. COL ($8,600 DraftKings; $8,800 FanDuel)

Manaea doesn’t have any flashy stats, but he has been a reliable member of the Mets’ starting rotation with his 3.43 ERA and 3.69 FIP. His strength has been keeping hitters inside the ballpark, giving up just 0.7 HR/9. Up next is a great matchup against the Rockies, who only have a .638 OPS on the road.

Also consider: Sonny Gray vs. CHC, Carson Spiers vs. MIA

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Jose Altuve – 2B, HOU vs. Andrew Heaney ($5,200 DK; $3,800 FD)

There are two things working in Altuve’s favor for this matchup. First, he has a career .382 wOBA against left-handed pitchers. Second, he has a .379 wOBA at home this season, compared to a .331 wOBA on the road. Heaney has been good with a 3.80 ERA and a 3.83 FIP this season, but Altuve can still produce a valuable stat line.

Vinnie Pasquantino – 1B, KC vs. Cooper Criswell ($4,500 DK; $3,100 FD)

With Josh Winckowski moving to the bullpen, the Red Sox have an opening in their starting rotation. It could be filled by Criswell, who would be on normal rest to make this start. The Red Sox could also opt to go with a bullpen game. Either way, Pasquantino is an appealing option in a favorable hitting environment at Fenway Park. Over his last 13 games, Pasquantino is 18-for-53 (.340) with three home runs and two doubles.

Brooks Lee – 3B, MIN vs. Kyle Harrison ($3,800 DK; $2,800 FD)

Lee was playing well at Triple-A, recording a .206 ISO and a .439 wOBA over 20 games. Through his first eight games with the Twins, he is 12-for-33 (.364) with two home runs. His cheap salaries make him worth considering in a matchup with Harrison, who is not an overpowering force with his career 21.3% strikeout rate.

Also consider: Pete Alonso, Mark Vientos, Spencer Horwitz

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Brandon Nimmo – OF, NYM vs. Tanner Gordon ($5,100 DK; $3,400 FD)

Gordon was hammered in his first start in the majors, giving up five runs and two home runs over 6.1 innings against the Royals. He had similar issues in the minors, producing a 1.48 WHIP and allowing nine home runs over 33.2 innings at Triple-A this year. He’ll have his hands full with Nimmo, who is 32-for-93 (.344) with nine home runs and seven doubles over his last 24 games.

Jarred Kelenic – OF, ATL vs. Randy Vasquez ($4,300 DK; $3,100 FD)

Vasquez has a 1.60 WHIP for the season, making him someone to attack in DFS. Left-handed hitters have produced an eye-popping .491 wOBA against him. This is a great spot for Kelenic, who is already 28-for-101 (.277) with six home runs over his last 25 games.

Alec Burleson – OF/1B, STL vs. Kyle Hendricks ($3,700 DK; $2,800 FD)

Hendricks has been cleared to start after leaving his last outing early because of lower-back tightness. He has a bloated 1.58 WHIP this season and has given up 13 home runs over 63.1 innings. The Cardinals are one of the top teams to stack with Burleson being one of their more productive hitters. Against right-handed pitchers, he has produced a .222 ISO and a .387 wOBA this season.

Also consider: J.D. Martinez, Brendan Donovan, Jesus Sanchez

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Mets vs. Tanner Gordon

  • Favorite Plays: Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo, Mark Vientos

2. Braves vs. Randy Vasquez

3. Cardinals vs. Kyle Hendricks
