Marcus Morris is worth considering as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 12 of the 2022-23 NBA season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 22% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Marcus Morris keeps getting starts nightly for the Clippers and that, simply put, won't change at any point ROS no matter what happens to this ballclub and how the rotation might change in the future. Not only is that good, but Morris is actually playing league-average fantasy basketball while putting up more than interesting numbers.
Morris is probably not a league-winning player, that's pretty much obvious, but he's one of those fantasy-glue-guys you can always rely on to get a steady stream of fantasy goodies.
Morris has scored in double digits in all but one December game, making it 13 consecutive matchups hitting 10+ points and averaging an even better 13 PPG. He's strung 15 games with at least one 3PM through New Year's Eve getting all the way back to freaking Nov. 29 when he last finished a game without making a 3-point shot.
On top of that, Morris is grabbing a reasonable amount of boards (hard for him to pull down a lot considering he plays along with Ivica Zubac and is often positioned outside the zone) with an average of 5 RPG over the full season.
You might not believe it but Marcus Morris is one of 37 players shooting 44%+ from the floor while hoisting 5+ 3PA per game and hitting 2+ 3PM per contest. That group goes down to a tiny six-man sample when only taking into account players with PF/C eligibility. Just saying.
