Kyle Anderson is worth considering as a fantasy basketball waiver wire pickup heading into Week 23 of the 2022-23 NBA season.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 37% of leagues
ANALYSIS: It is ridiculous but last Wednesday Kyle Anderson failed to score 10+ points in a single game for the first time since Mar. 7th. Yes, that was nearly three weeks ago. That is, also, because of Karl-Anthony Towns' return to the lineup against the Hawks earlier this week forcing Anderson out of his natural PF position and starting at SG instead.
Anderson was still very productive, mind you, scoring nine points to go with seven dimes and three rebounds in 36 minutes of play. The usage, even though cratering to 11.6% on Wednesday, stayed where it's been all season long and didn't change that much, really.
Slomo's numbers will go down a bit through the last few games of the season with KAT back and Anthony Edwards also attempting a comeback to save the Wolves from falling off the playoff picture, but he has done more than enough to still trust him in deep leagues as a weekly/daily starter.
Anderson will keep playing more than 32+ MPG and has the chops to contribute all across the board. The points might go down with a lower dose of shot attempts going forward, but that doesn't mean he won't be racking points up considering he will enter spot-up duties and hit more valuable attempts.
