ANALYSIS: You know how they always say that there will be plenty of speed available on the waiver wire all season? 91% of Fantasy Baseball Managers need to get acquainted with Keon Broxton. Fair warning with Broxton: With his .634/.829 RHP/LHP OPS split and .866/.571 Home/Away OPS split, it is safe to say that Broxton is the safest when played vs. RHP and at Miller Park. He started the season with OPS of just .111, .483, and .630 in just 61 AB from April through June. It has been a far different story in the 63 AB he has taken in July and August. In July he had a slash line of .286/.423/.619 with a HR and a steal; and in August he has a red-hot slash line of .357/.460/.500 with a HR and nine stolen bases. In total this season Broxton has a walk rate of 15.5% and has stolen 17 bases and was caught just once for a success rate of 94.4%, all in just 124 AB. If he had taken the 439 AB that teammate and fellow base stealer Jonathan Villar has gotten, he would be on pace for 60 steals and about ten HR. If he keeps hitting for this kind of contact and walks this frequently, he could lead all of baseball in steals for the rest of the season.
