Jordan Westburg is a 2B fantasy baseball draft sleeper, and an ADP draft value for 2024. Target Westburg as an undervalued 2B in fantasy baseball drafts.
ANALYSIS: Even though 22-year-old Coby Mayo had a strong showing in Spring Training, it looks likely that he will start the year in Triple-A with the Orioles opting to go with Jackson Holliday, Gunnar Henderson, and Jordan Westburg as their starting infielders.
The 25-year-old Westburg made his major-league debut in 2023 and saw sporadic playing time while slashing .260/.311/.404 with three home runs, 23 RBI, and four stolen bases in 228 trips to the plate over 68 games.
He should see more playing time in 2024 in a stacked Baltimore lineup in his first full year in the majors. Westburg's plate discipline isn't the greatest, but his power/speed combination makes him attractive as a middle-infield option in deep-mixed fantasy leagues.
He's projected to hit 9th but should have plenty of opportunities to produce with the Orioles having one of the deepest collections of young hitters in this lineup.
