Jorbit Vivas is a fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for Week 17 (2024). Target Jorbit Vivas as a top prospect free-agent add for fantasy baseball.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 1% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: New York Yankees infield prospect Jorbit Vivas was promoted to the major leagues on Friday, July 12 in a corresponding move that placed third baseman J.D. Davis on the 10-day injured list with an illness.
Vivas has performed quite well in his second look at Triple-A ball this season with a strong .258/.404/.424 slash line across 37 games. In addition, he has tallied five long balls, 19 RBI, and eight stolen bases, with an excellent 29:31 BB:K ratio.
The Yankees are promoting infielder Jorbit Vivas to make his MLB debut after placing J.D. Davis on the IL.

The infielder got a taste of Triple-A ball last season but struggled across the short 26-game sample size with a poor .225/.339/.294 line.
The 23-year-old could carve out a full-time role in the Yankee lineup due to the many underperforming players in the middle of their lineup. Second baseman Gleyber Torres and third baseman DJ LeMahieu are on pace to set career lows in batting average with a .224 and a .202 respectively.
If Vivas can get out to a hot start in the majors, he could become a valuable fantasy asset in the stretch run of the season.
