Jon Singleton is a top fantasy baseball waiver wire pickup for Week 8 (2024). Fantasy baseball managers should add Singleton as a waiver wire free agent.
BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 10% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: Due to Jose Abreu's demotion, Jon Singleton has established himself as Houston's starting first baseman and is worth adding in deeper formats.
On the season, Singleton has a .218/.311/.397 with four long balls, ten RBI, and a 11:20 BB:K ratio.
However, since becoming the starting first baseman on April 30, Singleton has posted a poor .194 AVG but an eye-catching .536 SLG. In addition, he has begun to show even better plate discipline with a much improved 6:8 BB:K ratio.

In addition, over the past week, Singleton has been moved up to the five-hole in the lineup from the seven-hole, which will greatly improve his RBI opportunities throughout the summer. If you are looking to improve your home run count and increase your slugging percentage, add Singleton to your roster.
Even though the Astros have struggled to open the campaign, Singleton has an everyday role batting behind some of the game's best bats, Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, and Kyle Tucker, which makes him a worthwhile addition to any team in deeper leagues.
