Will Jauan Jennings play in Week 3 for fantasy football? Is Jauan Jennings injured or hurt heading into Week 3 of 2025? Read the latest Jauan Jennings injury report.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings (ankle) successfully played through a shoulder injury in Week 2 against the New Orleans Saints. He was likely still dealing with at least some degree of pain from the aliment, but it didn't seem to slow him down.
Jennings, working with backup quarterback Mac Jones, caught five of his 10 targets for 89 yards and a touchdown, scoring 19.9 PPR fantasy points. The Saints defense offered little resistance on his touchdown grab in which he waltzed untouched into the end zone.
Jennings is dealing with a new aliment, though. Add it to the long list of health issues he's had, and you get a picture of a player that has plenty of grit. Unfortunately, the 49ers are often decimated by injury issues, so will Jennings be able to play in Week 3?

Jauan Jennings Fantasy Football Injury Update
Jennings apparently suffered an ankle injury in his team's Week 2 win. He wasn't pulled from the game, though, and had plenty of playing time, with 87 percent of his team's snaps. If I was forced to guess, I'd say his ankle issue is minor. It could be a small sprain or something of the like.

These types of injuries likely happen constantly in the NFL. It's notable that he's limited on the injury report, of course, but that could be a precautionary measure for now. This obviously doesn't appear to be a major aliment, and Jennings' chances of missing extended time are probably very low.
49ers Injury Report per Kyle Shanahan:
- WR Jauan Jennings (ankle) & OT Spencer Burford (knee) are both day-to-day
- LG Ben Bartch (high ankle sprain) will be out "for a while."
- FB Kyle Juszczyk & DB Siran Neal are both in concussion protocol this week pic.twitter.com/XQZ6o7QU3U

But it's the 49ers we're talking about, so I guess you never know until you truly know.
Is Jauan Jennings Playing in Week 3?
Most likely, yes. He played through his shoulder issue, which was severe enough that there was a bit more worry he might miss time before scans on the affected area came back negative. There hasn't been any word that his issue is serious. We should treat it as if it's minor.

Jennings did have to have his ankle taped, likely to reduce the flexion it could endure throughout the game and make it less likely that he re-injures himself.
Jauan Jennings Fantasy Football Outlook for Week 3
Thought it was fellow wideout Ricky Pearsall that the consensus opinion supported as the future No. 1 wide receiver for San Francisco, Jennings clearly out-targeted him, with the second-year pro only seeing six looks in the passing game. Jennings, when fully healthy, appears to be the team's top priority in the passing game.
That is, as long as tight end George Kittle (hamstring) isn't able to play. Kittle is on injured reserve, so he won't play in Week 3, meaning Jennings could have another nice game if his ankle injury doesn't turn out to be serious. No. 15 could continue raining on the Pearsall parade.
Shoutout to Jauan Jennings, played through a shoulder injury and an ankle issue suffered in the game.

Right now, Jennings is considered "day-to-day" as you can see in one of the X posts above. This is pretty optimistic news, and I expect him to play in Week 3 without many restrictions. It's hard to know if it will affect his productivity.
The 49ers will face the Arizona Cardinals in a divisional matchup on Sunday. In two contests against Arizona last season, Jennings totaled 14.5 PPR fantasy points, including one dud game where he caught just one pass for 13 yards. He's a boom-or-bust flex player with a very low floor, but high upside.
