Michael Thomas Fantasy Football Outlook
New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas was arrested on Friday after an altercation with a man who was doing construction work in Thomas' neighborhood. Thomas is reported to have thrown a brick at the man's windshield while also shoving the man, who had been recording Thomas.
The New Orleans Saints have said they are "aware of the incident and are gathering information."
It has been reported that Thomas will play on Sunday when the Saints face the Minnesota Vikings. If there is any fallout from this incident that causes Thomas to miss time, it appears that will come farther down the road.
Should I Start Michael Thomas in Week 10?
Despite Friday's incident, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas is expected to play on Sunday against the Vikings.
Last week against the Chicago Bears, Thomas was held without a catch. He was targeted just once in the 24-17 New Orleans victory. On the season, the former Ohio State wideout has caught 38 of his 62 targets for 439 yards and one touchdown. He is averaging a career-low 48.8 receiving yards per game. The 2019 NFL receiving yardage leader has struggled to make much of an impact this season.
Heading into Sunday's game, Thomas should be viewed as a risky WR3/4 option. He's still a talented player, but he hasn't recorded more than 68 receiving yards in a game this season.
