Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon has not been efficient with his carries this year. He ended the regular season with 178 carries for 613 yards (3.44 yards per carry) and two touchdowns. His 3.44 yards per carry was a career-low, while the 613 rush yards were his lowest since his rookie season in 2020.
Dillon has also been dealing with a couple of injuries to end the season. He is currently battling a broken thumb that kept him from playing in Week 15 and then a neck stinger that held him out of the finale in Week 18 against the Chicago Bears.
So, is Dillon injured or healthy? Will he play in the playoffs? Let's dive in.

AJ Dillon Injury Update
Dillon entered Week 18 against the Bears with a thumb and neck injury. The latter appeared to be the more severe issue after the running back played through his broken thumb in both Week 16 and Week 17.
However, in Week 17 against the Minnesota Vikings, Dillon suffered a neck stinger that forced him out of the game following just 12 snaps. That neck injury kept the 25-year-old running back out of practice all of last week, which caused the Packers to rule him out on Friday.
Entering Super Wild Card Weekend against the Dallas Cowboys, Dillon will need to practice in some capacity this week to play on Sunday. Keep an eye on his practice status in the coming days, especially after not participating at all leading up to Week 18.
AJ Dillon Fantasy Football Outlook
It remains truly 50/50 if Dillon will suit up this weekend. So, if you are playing in a fantasy playoff challenge or daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests, it might be tough to trust the Packers' running back this weekend if he is active.
For starters, Dillon will operate behind running back Aaron Jones out of the backfield and might not see many chances with the way Jones has been playing as of late. The 29-year-old veteran has rushed for over 110 yards in three straight games while totaling at least 5.05 yards per carry in those contests.
With Dillon not only battling a neck stinger but a thumb injury as well, there's no doubt he will enter Sunday banged up. So, he's probably better to avoid, even if he plays in the first round.
