MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Alex Cobb OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-110 DraftKings Sportsbook)

Those looking for a bit more safety can take the higher-juiced outs recorded or to record a win props, but we'll go out on a bit of a limb for a much better price and count on Cobb missing some bats. The veteran right-hander typically isn't bad at that, already having rung up 6 Ks in his first start over just 3.2 innings against a fearsome Yankees lineup and generating K/9s of over 9.0 in each of his last two seasons. The opposing Royals have clocked a 24.3 percent strikeout rate against right-handed pitching early as well while producing a minuscule .160 average in the same split, and Cobb boasted an impressive 9.6 K/9 in 87.1 innings at home last season while averaging 6.2 frames per start there.

Clayton Kershaw OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-130 FanDuel Sportsbook)

Kershaw is another pitcher that should have a chance at a pretty strong strikeout night Friday. The ageless southpaw has rung up 43 career strikeouts against the Diamondbacks' projected starting lineup in 149 career encounters, and Arizona has opened the season with a 23.2 percent strikeout rate against southpaws. Kershaw already tallied nine strikeouts against the D-Backs at Dodger Stadium in his first start of the season Saturday, and a year ago, he recorded at least six strikeouts in 13 of 22 starts.

MLB Hitter Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks

Aaron Judge To Hit a HR (+255 BetRivers Sportsbook)

An HR prop is always a fun yet risky wager to roll the dice on. However, they naturally always carry great prices, and if there was ever a player to take an occasional shot on in that regard, it's the reigning HR king. Judge has already knocked two out of the park in his first six games this season, and he now faces an Orioles starter in Dean Kremer that he's already left the yard three times against in just seven career plate appearances. Kremer allowed two homers to the Red Sox in his first start of the season, and 19 of the 30 round trippers he's given up in his career have come off right-handed bats. Interestingly, Judge has also been a much more prolific power hitter on the road the last couple seasons, slugging 56 of his 101 homers in that span when traveling.

Jesse Winker OVER 0.5 total singles (+125 BetMGM Sportsbook)

It just didn't work out for Winker last season in Seattle for whatever reason, with the normally reliable outfielder limping to a highly atypical .219 average after entering the season with a career .288 figure. However, Winker still got on base at an impressive .344 clip, and he's begun the season in his new Brewers digs looking like his old self. Winker is slashing .333/.409/.444 early (22 plate appearances). The lefty-swinging veteran now faces Jack Flaherty, a quality pitcher that nevertheless gave up a .268 average and .368 wOBA to left-handed hitters last season, and that Winker has gotten to for a .400 average in 18 career plate appearances.

Mike Trout OVER 0.5 total singles (+100 BetMGM Sportsbook)

Needless to say, it's relatively rare to get as good a price as this on a Trout prop considering his prodigious power. The pitching matchup Friday -- he'll face the talented Chris Bassitt -- has something to do with it, but it's one Trout has frequently conquered in the past. The future Hall of Fame slugger is hitting .412 over 19 career plate appearances against Bassitt, a sample that includes a pair of doubles and a homer. We're just looking for a single here from a player who's opened the season with a .368 average in his first six games -- hitting safely in five in a row -- against a pitcher that was lit up for nine earned runs over 3.1 innings in his Toronto debut on Sunday.
