MLB Pitcher Prop Bets - Today's Betting Picks
Eduardo Rodriguez OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-110 DraftKings Sportsbook)
We start with some pretty respectable odds on Eduardo Rodriguez over 5.5 strikeouts against the Red Sox as he has struck out at least six batters in five of his previous eight starts. He will be up against Boston as aforementioned, who is posting the sixth-highest K rate vs. southpaws over the previous three weeks with a rate of 26.4%. They are also posting a horrid walk rate of just 4.8% and a wRC+ mark of just 48.
Eury Perez OVER 6.5 strikeouts (+110 DraftKings Sportsbook)
The plus odds are very nice on this prop as Eury Perez has struck out at least seven batters in three of his previous four starts. He will be up against the Yankees in this one, who are posting a 24.6% K rate vs. right-handers over the previous three weeks. That ranks the ninth-worst in baseball over that span. Perez will also be at home where he has posted an 11.8 K/9 mark compared to an 8.9 K/9 mark on the road.
Julio Urias OVER 5.5 strikeouts (-110 DraftKings Sportsbook)
Julio Urias has been on a roller coaster this season in terms of his K prop, so there is definitely some volatility in this prop. He has struck out at least six batters in just two of his past six starts; however, the matchup against the Rockies is a juicy one. Over the previous three weeks, Colorado has posted the second-highest K rate vs. southpaws with a rate of 29.4%. They are also posting just a 51 wRC+ mark over this span, which encompasses 265 plate appearances. So we are not talking about too small of a sample size here.
