Fantasy Football WR Injury Reports: Week 7 Updates For Cooper Kupp, Malik Nabers, Marvin Harrison Jr., Chris Olave, Jayden Reed

Fantasy football WR injury updates and reports for Week 7 (2024), as of 10/16. Includes updates on Cooper Kupp, Malik Nabers, Marvin Harrison Jr., and more.

A few weeks ago, hamstring injuries took several high-profile wide receivers off the field. This week, concussions are a major concern.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (ARI) Injury Update

Fantasy managers should plan now. Marvin Harrison Jr. suffered a concussion against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. He stood up, stumbled, and fell back down onto the grass. His Week 7 availability is a big question mark.

With their next game on Monday Night Football, Harrison has an extra day to clear the concussion protocol. That also presents a dilemma for fantasy managers, who need a backup plan if they're willing to wait until Monday.

Cooper Kupp (LAR) Injury Update

Cooper Kupp's return is near! The Rams star wide receiver hasn't played since Week 2 because of an ankle injury.

The Rams' schedule presents a slight concern for fantasy managers anticipating Kupp's availability. Los Angeles plays on Thursday night in Week 8. Playing two games in five days on a hampered ankle can be difficult. Head coach Sean McVay could keep Kupp on the sidelines against Las Vegas in Week 7 and bring Kupp back at full strength against Minnesota in Week 8.

Jakobi Meyers (LV) Injury Update

Jakobi Meyers sat out of the Raiders' Week 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers with an ankle injury. He was downgraded entering the weekend, despite practicing in a limited fashion on Friday. Tre Tucker served as the WR1 and registered zero catches.

With Davante Adams officially out of town, Meyers will be the top wide receiver for the Raiders moving forward. He'll likely sit out of practice or be limited to begin the week. A full participation on Thursday or Friday will be important for his availability.

Malik Nabers (NYG) Injury Update

Malik Nabers has missed two games with a concussion he suffered on September 26. It's a lengthy absence for one of fantasy football's top wide receivers.

Hopefully, Nabers has cleared the concussion protocol and can return to the starting lineup against the Eagles. He'll be a WR1 if that's the case. Fantasy managers need to track New York's injury reports throughout the week.

Chris Olave / Rashid Shaheed (NO) Injury Update

A 24-point divisional loss to the Buccaneers and injuries to both starting wide receivers. It was not a good Sunday for the New Orleans Saints.

Chris Olave exited the game with a concussion after one reception. With their next game on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos, it's extremely unlikely that Olave will progress through the league's concussion protocol by game time.

Rashid Shaheed is missing practices with a knee injury he suffered in the fourth quarter. There's no word on a timeline but there's concern he could miss some time.

Rookies Bub Means, Mason Tipton, and veteran Cedrick Wilson Jr. will see the most playing time if Olave and Shaheed can't play.

Ricky Pearsall (SF) Injury Update

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall returned to the practice field earlier this week. The team is opening his 21-day practice window ahead of his return from the injured reserve list. Monday marked his first practice since suffering a gunshot wound.

Pearsall will likely be eased back into action and there's still uncertainty if he'll be active this weekend. Regardless, he's behind Deebo Samuel Sr., Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Jauan Jennings in the target pecking order.

Jayden Reed / Dontayvion Wicks (GB) Injury Update

The Green Packers can't keep a healthy wide receiver room. Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs returned to the field on Sunday, only for Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks to pick up new ailments.

Reed injured his ankle early in the win over the Cardinals. He returned to the field but produced limited production. As we've seen with players like Joe Mixon and Khalil Shakir, ankle injuries can worsen after the adrenaline of game day wears off. He'll be a player to monitor at practices this week.

Wicks is week-to-week with a shoulder issue. He can safely be dropped in standard-sized redraft leagues while he heals.
