Evan Engram Injury Update

Engram won’t be in uniform for Sunday’s matchup with the Houston Texans. The veteran tweaked his hamstring ahead of the Week 2 clash with the Browns.

As a result, Brenton Strange will remain the Jags’ starting tight end. Strange had three catches for 65 yards versus Cleveland.

Although he had just two grabs in the blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday night, he still scored a touchdown, accounting for Jacksonville’s only trip to the end zone.

Strange may continue to get looks from Trevor Lawrence, giving him value in deep, multi-tight end setups in Week 4.

Sam LaPorta Injury Update

LaPorta is anticipated to play on Monday night after spraining his ankle in Week 3. Without question, he has struggled this season, compiling only eight catches for 94 yards.

With that said, LaPorta’s ceiling is higher than nearly every tight end in the National Football League, keeping him a must-start against the Seahawks.

George Kittle Injury Update

Kittle tweaked his hamstring, keeping him out for the NFC West meeting with the Los Angeles Rams. Deebo Samuel Sr. wasn’t available for that one, either, resulting in Jauan Jennings finishing with three touchdowns.

With Samuel questionable, there could be additional targets up for grabs. But even if Samuel plays, Kittle must be featured in any fantasy lineup imaginable.

Trey McBride Injury Update

McBride hasn’t been as productive as most had envisioned. But he’s still the second-best receiving option on the team.

Unfortunately, the 24-year-old won’t play in Sunday’s matchup with the Washington Commanders after sustaining a concussion in Week 3. Without him, Marvin Harrison Jr., who was removed from the injury report on Friday, should see extra attention from Kyler Murray.

Coming off an eight-catch, 64-yard showing versus the Lions, Michael Wilson could also exceed expectations.

David Njoku Injury Update

As expected, Njoku won’t suit up versus the Raiders on Sunday. The veteran has been sidelined since injuring his ankle in Week 1.

While he practiced somewhat throughout the week, it’s anyone’s guess when he’ll be back on the field. With Jerry Jeudy and Amari Cooper the preferred receiving options, backup tight end Jordan Akins probably won’t see much action.

Regardless, the Browns offense is a mess, so anyone on that side of the ball is hard to trust.
