FanDuel NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 2 - Daily Fantasy Football

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NFL DFS lineup picks for Week 2 of the 2019 season, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Week 2 is here, and for those of us who didn't have Lamar Jackson in Week 1, it's time to get back on track. Be sure to keep an eye on injures as there are plenty of guys who are in danger of not playing, leaving the door open for some solid, low-cost additions to your DFS roster. In terms of Vegas, the Saints will visit Los Angeles to meet the Rams in what is projected to be the highest-scoring and most competitive game of the day. If you are planning on stacking, this is the place to do it.

In this article, I will be providing you with daily fantasy football picks in FanDuel for September 15, 2019 (Week 2). These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. Be sure to also check out our premium section.

FanDuel DFS Quarterbacks - Week 2 Picks

Aaron Rodgers - QB, vs. MIN ($8,000)

Rodgers has been historically efficient against the Vikings throughout the years and will serve as a reliable option in Week 2. Throughout 21 lifetime meetings against Minnesota, the veteran has thrown for 41 touchdowns with only six interceptions while completing 68 percent of his passes. Rodgers should be on everyone's radar, especially if you aren't looking to spend on Patrick Mahomes, who will cost you $1,000 more.

Dak Prescott - QB, @ WSH ($7,700)

Prescott had his way with the New York Giants in the opening game of the season by finishing with 405 yards and four touchdowns while posting a perfect 158.3 passer rating. It is easy to assume that the Cowboys will run away with this one, but with Vegas stating otherwise, Prescott could end up throwing late into the fourth quarter if this game stays close. With so many expensive options available, you can save some cash by rolling with Dak and get equal (or better) numbers while also getting to spend some extra dough at another position.

FanDuel DFS Running Backs - Week 2 Picks

Dalvin Cook - RB, @ GB ($7,900)

Though the Bears had allowed the Packers to accumulate just 47 rushing yards in Week 1, Cook will get his fantasy points based on pure volume alone. The 24-year-old was very involved during the Week 1 matchup against the Falcons, ending the day with 111 yards and two touchdowns on 21 attempts. Mike Zimmer indicated that he plans to utilize Cook's services more frequently this season so take advantage of his discounted price while you still can because it will likely be higher come Week 3.

Austin Ekeler - RB, @ DET ($7,500)

There may be some contrarians out there who will fade Ekeler in Week 2; however, I don't recommend it. Behind Christian McCaffrey, Ekeler was the highest-scoring fantasy player last Sunday by accumulating three touchdowns against the Colts. Though Justin Jackson will still be involved in some capacity, it is clear Ekeler will be an integral part of the Chargers' offense. Keep him rolling in Week 2 against the Lions.

FanDuel DFS Wide Receivers - Week 2 Picks

Michael Thomas - WR, @ LAR ($8,500)

This one will between the Saints and Rams will be a shootout for sure, with Thomas likely continuing to get his fair share of looks from quarterback Drew Brees. Thomas saw 13 targets against Houston on Monday night, pulling in 10 of them for 123 yards. The 26-year-old has had his way against Los Angeles, racking up 371 yards and three touchdowns on 26 receptions in three career meetings with the club.

Larry Fitzgerald - WR, @ BAL ($5,500)

For those who are under the impression that Fitzgerald isn't able to produce at his advanced NFL age of 36, refer to his Week 1 performance against the Lions. He was the most targeted player against Detroit and will continue to serve as the safety net for rookie quarterback Kyler Murray. The upside is definitely there for the veteran on Sunday as he could easily surpass his value for those looking for a cheaper alternative at the wide receiver position.

FanDuel DFS Tight End - Week 2 Pick

Evan Engram - TE, vs. BUF ($6,400)

Outside of Saquon Barkley, Engram will be the only reliable option for the Giants against the Bills as Sterling Shepard, who was diagnosed with a concussion, will not be available. Even with Shepard in the lineup against the Cowboys in Week 1, Engram was still targeted 14 times and finished with 116 yards and a score on 11 receptions. It is apparent that Engram will continue to help fill the void left by the departure of Odell Beckham Jr. moving forward.

T.J. Hockenson - TE, vs. LAC ($6,000)

The rookie led the Lions' offense against the Cardinals and ended the contest with 131 yards and a touchdown on six catches (nine targets). Obviously, it is not guaranteed that he will have similar production against the Chargers, but in GPP contests, the ceiling is high for the former Iowa Hawkeye.

FanDuel DFS Defense - Week 2 Pick

New England Patriots - DEF, @ MIA ($4,900)

The Dolphins Defense looked equally as miserable as the offense as the team allowed 643 total yards and 59 points to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. Things couldn't get any worse for Miami as the Patriots will be in town for a Week 2 showdown. Expect things to get out of hand real fast on Sunday, making the Patriots Defense a prime option in DFS lineups.
