FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (8/10/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

After an exciting weekend of games, the NBA postseason is right around the corner. With so many teams having nothing left to play for, some players may not see their usual allotment of minutes, which of course, will make things trickier and more challenging until the regular season concludes.

Of course, it is crucial for everyone to monitor injuries throughout the day, especially since there may be more late-scratches than usual. As of this writing, Kendrick Nunn, Luka Doncic, Dennis Schroder, Gary Harris, Will Barton, Dorian Finney-Smith, Kristaps Porzingis, and Nerlens Noel have already been ruled out for Monday. Steven Adams, Dwight Howard, Anthony Davis, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, T.J. Warren, Kelly Oubre Jr., Donovan Mitchell, Jimmy Butler, and Goran Dragic are on the fence and are in danger of not being able to suit up.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/10/20. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Lastly, feel free to follow me on Twitter @DennisMClausen. Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Chris Paul, PG - @ PHO ($7,500)

Paul has turned up the volume since the relaunch and is averaging 18.4 points, seven assists, and two steals in the Thunder's last five contests. With so many ugly options at the point guard position on Monday night, paying up for the veteran may be the way to go, especially if Oklahoma City is without Steven Adams.

Khris Middleton, SG - vs. TOR ($7,200)

Keep an eye on Giannis Antetokounmpo's status on Monday night because if he doesn't play, Middleton should be a lock. During the seven games that he has been without the freak this season, he is averaging 29 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.9 assists. Though the Bucks don't really have anything to play for until the postseason begins, Middleton should still be in the lineup as it may be a little early for coach Bud to start resting his players.

Tyler Herro, SG - vs. IND ($5,100)

Herro has received some extra minutes as the Heat continue to deal with injuries. He has made the most of it, nonetheless, and will be entering Monday's contest fresh off a 47.6 fantasy point performance against the Suns on Saturday. While Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic could both make their way back into the rotation in this one, the rookie should still have plenty of chances to hit his value, at minimum.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Michael Porter Jr., PF - @ LAL ($8,000)

At one point, Porter was slated to be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, but after back surgery, his stock fell, landing him in Denver, who had selected him 14th overall. Many had doubts as to whether or not the 22-year-old would be able to live up to his pre-injury projections. However, he appears to be on the right path, especially during his time in the bubble. During his five games since the league resumed play, Porter has racked up a double-double in four of them. While his shooting numbers could improve, he has still made the most of his time on the floor.

T.J. Warren, SF @ MIA ($7,500)

If there is a Michael Jordan of the bubble, Warren may be the closest thing. He began the relaunched NBA season by dumping 53 points on the Sixers back on August 1st. Since then, he has scored less than 32 points just once. He is currently carrying a questionable tag heading into Monday as a result of a foot injury. However, he was able to play on Saturday against the Lakers, so there is a strong chance he will be good to go against the Miami Heat.

Tim Hardaway Jr., SF - @ UTA ($4,900)

With the absences of Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis, and Dorian Finney-Smith, the door is open for Hardaway to pick up these pieces. Without those three on the court, he will get a noticeable 6.1 percent bump in usage as well as an increase in plus/minus differential. In 13 games without Doncic in the lineup this season, Hardaway averaged 18.5 points while also shooting nearly 40 percent from deep. He will undoubtedly be a popular addition in DFS lineups, especially at that price.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Rudy Gobert, C - vs. DAL (7,800)

Gobert has been absolutely killing it during bubble play thus far, and in his five restart appearances, he is averaging nearly 40 fantasy points per game. He has had the Mavericks number all season as well, averaging 19.5 points, 16 boards, and three blocks while also shooting a perfect 100 percent from the field in two meetings with Dallas on the year.
