FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (12/8/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

We have games spread out throughout the day on Sunday, however, as a result of injuries, it would be a good idea to wait for the "Main Slate," which begins at 6 pm (eastern). There are plenty of guys who carry an injury designation, leaving the door open for some sufficient value plays, so keep an eye on things leading up to opening tip.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 12/8/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

Give me a follow on Twitter @Den_Clausen and say hello. Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Luka Doncic - PG, vs. SAC ($11,700)

Are we looking at this year's MVP? It is quite likely, and it's for a good reason. The 20-year-old is averaging nearly a triple-double on the year, outputting averages on 30.1 points, 10 rebounds, and 9.2 assists. Expect this game to move fast, allowing Doncic to get plenty of chances to make his mark.

Ish Smith - PG, vs. LAC ($4,600)

One of Friday night's big value plays, Smith Stepped up in the absence of Isaiah Thomas by recording 15 points, eight assists, two boards and a steal against the Heat across 32 minutes of action. He had just one turnover in that one as well but will likely have a few more if Patrick Beverley has anything to say about it. Regardless, the point guard spot is limited to some degree on Sunday, and at this price, it is worth a gamble regardless of who is guarding him.

Also Consider: Damian Lillard ($9,400), Kendrick Nunn ($5,100), Bradley Beal ($9,600), Jimmy Butler ($9,300), Zach LaVine ($8,200), Buddy Hield ($8,000), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($6,800), Lou Williams ($6,800), Dennis Schroder ($5,700), Tyler Herro ($4,600), Yogi Ferrell ($3,700)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Kawhi Leonard - PF, @ WAS ($9,400)

The Clippers had a rough start to their six-game road trip by getting crushed by the Bucks on Friday night, and while Leonard can't take all of the blame for the blowout loss, he didn't help things either. The 28-year-old had just 17 points in that one, and though he contributed in other categories to make amends for his lack of scoring, he hasn't looked the same since arriving in Los Angeles. He is shooting a career-worst 43.6 percent from the field despite sporting a career-best 35.3 usage percentage, but he will likely be ready to go after that embarrassing defeat and should come out firing as a result. The two-time Finals MVP could be in store for his best outing of the year on Sunday against a Wizards team that is plagued with an abundance of injuries. Don't be scared off by his shoddy play as of late as you can potentially make a dent in tournaments since his ownership should be lower than usual, especially against those who will be spending cash on LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Luka Doncic.

Davis Bertans - SF, vs. LAC ($6,200)

As was the case against the Heat on Friday night, Washington will once again have some holes to fill on Sunday against the Clippers. After getting off to a slow start against Miami, Bertans turned out to be valuable off of the bench by accumulating a 19/10 double-double, while also shooting 5-for-13 from deep and adding two blocks for good measure. The bad news, in this case, is that ownership should exceed at least 50 percent on such a limited slate, making him a candidate to fade if you are willing to accept the risk.

Also Consider: LeBron James ($10,800), Paul George ($8,800), Carmelo Anthony ($5,800), Jarrett Culver ($5,200), Anthony Davis ($10,800), Kristaps Porzingis ($7,800),   Rui Hachimura ($5,800)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Joel Embiid - C, @ TOR ($10,900)

Embiid sat out against the Cavaliers as a result of a "bruised hip," which may be another name for load management in his case. Nonetheless, he is expected to play in a critical matchup against the Raptors. The big man has been burned by Toronto over the previous few meetings, ranging from Kawhi Leonard's Game 7, bouncy buzzer-beater during last year's postseason series, to his most recent scoreless outing against them just a few weeks ago. Expect Embiid to be out for blood in this one, and will probably be the most productive fantasy center on Sunday.

Also Consider: Karl-Anthony Towns ($11,000), Montrezl Harrell ($7,600), Moritz Wagner ($5,700)
