FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (11/2/21): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Giannis Antetokounmpo - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineups

Alex Burns highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 11/2/21, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Well, after 14 games over the last two days, things slow down in the association Tuesday with only five games on deck. If we're being honest, our nights would be made even if there were only one game on TV. Believe it or not, Tuesday will mark two weeks since the NBA season tipped off, meaning teams should be settling into a rhythm and hitting their stride right about now. Let's take a look a close look at Tuesday's slate to see if anything pops out.

  • MIA @ DAL - O/U 215.5
  • MIL @ DET - O/U - NA
  • SAC @ UTA - O/U - 219
  • NOP @ PHX - O/U - NA
  • HOU @ LAL - O/U - 218

Believe it or not, both the Lakers and the Rockets are currently numbers one and two in PACE rating so far this season, which makes their O/U of 218 a bit of a head-scratcher. I mean, the two teams did just play on Sunday night and only mustered up a combined 180 points, but I feel that is a bit of an outlier. This has the potential to be the highest-scoring game on the slate if the Rockets can find a way to keep it close, so we should feel confident to stack players in this matchup. The SAC/UTA matchup is intriguing as well, as both teams are currently numbers 10 and 12 in points per game. The Jazz does have the league's second-best defensive rating at the moment, but I could see this game having sneaky shootout potential. With that said, let's dive right into some of my favorite FanDuel plays for Tuesday's slate.

Below are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 11/2/21. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s injury news to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Grayson Allen, SG - @ DET ($4,900)

Not only are the Pistons giving up the MOST FanDuel points to opposing guards this season, but the Bucks will once again be without Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday in this one. The last time that happened, Allen put up 18 points on 14 shots and grabbed six rebounds in a tough matchup against the Jazz. While this is more of a value play, Allen is a lock to see 30+ minutes in this one. The only hope is that the Pistons can keep it close!

Devin Booker, SG - vs. NOP ($8,200)

The man known as "Book" is seemingly hitting his stride, as he's gone for 29 points, five rebounds, and 8.5 assists over his last two games en route to averaging 47 FD points in those contests. The Pelicans have surrendered the second-most FD points to opposing shooting guards this season, so odds are Booker has another big game in this one.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker, SG - @ PHX ($6,100)

NAW has certainly cooled off after a nice start to the season, but the Pelicans could very well be without Brandon Ingram, Devonte Graham, and Garrett Temple in this one, who are all questionable with different ailments. It's an extremely small sample size, but Alexander-Walker saw a 33.3% usage rate the last time that the aforementioned trio were all off the court at the same time. Both teams also rank bottom-10 in defensive efficiency so if there is ever a game for NAW to get back on track, it's this one.

Also consider: Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,000), Donovan Mitchell ($8,000), Jalen Brunson ($4,600)

FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/SF - @ DET ($11,300)

Giannis is the guy from this slate who will find his way into most of my lineups. It doesn't make sense not to play him given the Bucks will be without Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday for this one. By default, he's likely going to receive the most usage of the season, which is exactly what you want when spending up on a stud. Put Giannis in your lineup and don't think twice.

Jimmy Butler, SG/SF - @ DAL ($10,000)

The freshly minted Eastern Conference Player of the Week has notched at least 51 FD points in each of his last four games en route to leading the Miami Heat to a 5-1 record. Bam Adebayo is questionable and could potentially miss his second consecutive game with a knee injury, so the onus will likely be on Butler to carry the load if the former is forced to sit. Much like Giannis, Butler is a fantastic option to roll into your lineup. His ability to rack up defensive stats and contribute across the board allows him to provide a safe floor.

Josh Hart, SF/SG - @ PHO ($5,500)

Hart looked great on Saturday in his second game back after missing four straight. Similar to Nickeil Alexander-Walker, he should see an increase in value with so many of the Pelicans starters banged up. Hart is staring at another 30-minute game on Tuesday and his $5,500 price tag makes him hard to pass up.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo, SF - @ DET ($4,200)

Yes, I am recommending both Antetokounmpo brothers, though Thanasis is more of a contrarian play. As mentioned above, Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton have been ruled out for Tuesday's game and Thanasis put up 34.3 FD points in 32 minutes of action the last time both guys sat. If you are wanting to spend up for multiple studs, guys like Thanasis are great plays given their increased opportunities.

Also consider: Pat Connaughton ($5,000), Carmelo Anthony ($6,000)

FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jonas Valanciunas, C - @ PHO ($8,600)

Valancuinas should be the focal point of the Pelicans' attack Tuesday if Brandon Ingram and Devonte Graham are unable to suit up. While the Suns have been pretty stout against opposing centers, the big man is averaging 50 FD points over his last five games and that trend should continue by necessity on Tuesday.

Dwight Powell, C - vs. MIA ($4,800)

Powell was impressive in Sunday's win over the Kings, posting season highs of 12 points and eight rebounds. There's a good chance that Kristaps Porzingis misses another game with a back issue and if Powell is really fortunate, Bam Adebayo may miss his second straight game. If all breaks right for Powell, he should have another solid outing easily return value while priced less than $5,000.

Also consider: Bobby Portis ($4,700), Christian Wood ($7,900)
