FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/8/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/8/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Tuesday night will feature eight games throughout the association. Keep an eye on Cory Joseph, Myles Turner, Dewayne Dedmon, Kevin Huerter, Devin Booker, and Jeremy Lamb, who are all in jeopardy of not playing for one reason or another. As far as Vegas goes, New York/Golden State and Charlotte/Los Angeles Clippers lead the slate with a projected combined overall score of 230 points. With the Warriors favored by 17.5 points over the struggling Knicks, look for this one to end quick, meaning the "Hampton's Five" may sit out more than usual. In regards to pace, Atlanta/Toronto leads the night with a projection of 106.15 possessions, followed closely by Washington/Philly and Minnesota/OKC with 105.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/8/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

FanDuel DFS Guards

De'Aaron Fox - PG, @ PHO ($8,200)

Fox saw only 20 minutes of action against the Magic on Monday night but was still able to finish with 20 points and five steals for an impressive 40.6 fantasy points. After getting some rest, he should have plenty of gas in the tank to resume his normal workload against the Suns in a game that will run fast and be high scoring.

Kemba Walker - PG, @ LAC ($8,900)

After averaging 23.8 points in December, Walker's production has declined in 2019, averaging 20 points on a subpar 37 percent shooting from the field and a troublesome 16 percent shooting from deep in January. If Jeremy Lamb, who has missed the team's last three games with a hamstring issue, is able to play against the Clippers on Tuesday night, expect Walker to return to form as he won't have to force as many shots.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

T.J. Warren - SF, vs. SAC ($6,200)

After Devin Booker prematurely exited against Charlotte due to bask spasms a few days ago, Warren picked up the slack, finishing things up with 23 points, five boards, five assists, two steals, and a block. Though he is a significant force when Booker is in the lineup, arguably serving as the team's second option on the offensive end, his stock will rise as the lead guy if Booker doesn't suit up. Regardless if Booker plays or not, you can't go wrong for only $6,200.

Otto Porter - SF, @ PHI ($4,900)

On Sunday, Porter logged his most minutes since returning from a knee injury that kept him out of the lineup for 10 games, playing 24 minutes in the 116-98 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder and finishing with 20 points on an efficient 4-for-6 shooting from deep. With coach Brooks indicating that Porter would get a gradual increase in playing time while working his way back into the swing of things, look for him to see the floor a little more against the Sixers on Tuesday night as well as for him to "shoot the damn ball," something that Bradley Beal recently indicated that he would like to see more of from the 25-year-old.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Willy Hernangomez - C, @ LAC ($5,100)

Bismack Biyombo appeared to have the center position locked down after his 40 fantasy point performance against the Nuggets; however, Hernangomez responded by producing a 35 fantasy point performance against the Suns on Sunday. Though Biyombo will likely continue to start in place of the injured Cody Zeller, who will be out with a hand injury, he will continue to split time with Hernangomez with the latter likely serving as the main benefactor in this equation.
