FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/20/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Karl-Anthony Towns - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/20/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

Before Monday's big Martin Luther King Jr. slate, the league features only three games to close out the weekend. Be sure to check out the injury report as Danilo Gallinari, Lou Williams, Deandre Ayton, and DeMar DeRozan are in danger of not playing.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/20/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Derrick Rose - PG, vs. PHO ($6,500)

Despite appearing in only three games since spraining his ankle against the Hawks at the end of the year in addition to seeing a reduced workload, Rose continues to play well, averaging 20 points throughout 25 minutes during that span. With Tyus Jones on the shelf, Rose could see a slight bump in minutes against the struggling Suns, making him a quality option with a high ceiling.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - PG @ SAS ($6,500)

Gilgeous-Alexander hit the 20-point mark for the first time since the middle of December against the Warriors a few nights ago, finishing things up with 24 points throughout 43 minutes. He also threw in three steals and could see extended minutes against the Spurs as a result of numerous injuries on the roster. Be sure to check the injury report before opening tip because if Danilo Gallinari and Lou Williams are out, the 20-year-old rookie will likely smash his value.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Montrezl Harrell - PF, @ SAS ($8,200)

Harrell is currently in the midst of one of the best stretches of his young career, averaging 16 points and eight blocks throughout January. He has also maintained an impressive Player Efficiency Rating of 24.8 and could see a more significant role if the aforementioned Gallinari and Williams are absent.

Thaddeus Young - PF, vs. IND ($6,600)

Indiana will host a Charlotte team that allows 48.76 fantasy points to power forwards this season, good (or bad) for fourth-worst in the league. The 30-year-old veteran has started in each of the Pacers' games this year, averaging 12.7 points, six boards, and 1.6 steals through 45 games. He will continue to get steady minutes and should come close to hitting his value against the Hornets on Sunday evening.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns - C, vs. PHO ($10,300)

Is there anyone else to consider on such a limited slate? If you can find some cheap options, which will be released once we know who is out, Towns will fit nicely into your lineup against a Suns team that could be missing Deandre Ayton. Towns has struggled a bit over the past few games, but he will likely bounce back on Sunday night.
