FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/12/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/12/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

It's Sunday, and the league has seven games on the agenda, beginning at 3:30 pm (eastern), for those who need a break from NFL divisional play. There are plenty of injuries to monitor, with Reggie Bullock, Marcus Morris, Frank Ntilikina, Julius Randle, Mitchell Robinson, Dennis Smith Jr., Mike Conley, Rui Hachimura, C.J. Miles, Garrison Mathews, Moritz Wagner, Bradley Beal, Thomas Bryant, Jabari Parker, De'Andre Hunter, Alex Len, Trae Young, Fred Vanvleet, Pascal Siakam, Kevon Looney, D'Angelo Russell, Paul George, Paul Millsap, and Frank Kaminsky all being listed on Sunday's report as either not playing, or are in danger of not suiting up. Kyrie Irving, who has been dealing with a shoulder issue for quite some time, may make his return against the Hawks.

From a Vegas standpoint, Brooklyn at Atlanta leads the way with a projected overall score of 231 points, followed by Utah at Washington at 223. Denver will be playing the second of a back-to-back. At the same time, Charlotte will be playing the first of consecutive outings on Sunday night.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/12/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. FanDuel DFS Guards

DeMar DeRozan - SG, @ TOR ($7,400)

DeRozan will make his way back to Toronto, a place where he spent nine seasons, earning four All-Star selections during his tenure with the club. Despite trade rumors, he has played exceptionally well as of late, averaging 27.2 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.6 rebounds over his last 10 games, which includes shooting just under 64 percent from the field during that span. In his return to Scotiabank Arena last season, he put up 23 points, eight assists, and four boards, while also earning a triple-double when the Raptors visited San Antonio in the month prior. Look for him to be fired up and ready to go against his former team on Sunday.

Jordan McRae - SG, vs. UTA ($6,400)

McRae has picked things up as the Wizards continue to deal with an abundance of injuries across the board. Bradley Beal has missed his last five games with a leg issue and is close to working his way back into the rotation. He has been practicing and is considered questionable against the Jazz. Still, even if he does return, he may not see his usual share of minutes, leaving the door open for McRae to continue to benefit, at least for the next few games. The 28-year-old looked good in the win over Atlanta in his last game out, finishing things up with 29 points, six rebounds, and six assists. He is averaging 19 shots per game in January and also has a tendency to get hot from behind the arc on occasion.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Will Barton - SF, vs. LAC ($6,700)

Barton has been on a roll and is averaging 44.8 fantasy points over his last two outings. He has hit at least 30.7 fantasy points in eight of his previous 10 games and will get a little bump as well with Paul Millsap, who is battling a knee injury, out of the lineup on Sunday against the Clippers.

LaMarcus Aldridge - PF, @ TOR ($7,400)

Enjoy this price now because I have a feeling the cost for Aldridge's DFS services will continue to rise. He has benefited tremendously from the solid play of DeMar DeRozan, averaging 59 shooting percent from deep over his last 10 contests. He has fallen below 31 fantasy points only twice in his last 15 games and also has eight double-doubles during that same time frame. His stock will rise even more if Pascal Siakam isn't available once again for the Raptors.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Montrezl Harrell - C, @ DEN ($6,500)

Harrell will come off the bench, as usual, and will benefit from the absence of Paul George, who is out dealing with a bum hamstring. With George out of the equation, Harrell earns a 1.8 percent bump in usage to go along with +1.3 in the plus/minus category. He will be matched up primarily by Nikola Jokic, who is allowing 0.7 fantasy points per minute this season to whoever he is defending.
