FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (9/6/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Tom Vecchio highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 9/6/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a VERY small four-game slate tonight, which starts early, at 6:40 pm est. That is due to the fact the NFL is kicking off tonight, so we have a very limited slate and the options are a bit thin today.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/6/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Luis Castillo - P, CIN vs SDP (FD - $8,200)

Castillo has seven or more strikeouts in three of his last four starts and will now be up against the Padres, who have a 25.8% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers this season, which is dead last in the league. Even with the high strikeout recently, Castillo has allowed five earned runs in two of his last four starts, causing a bit of concern. The upside is certainly there for him up against this weak Padres team, but the risk in this ballpark should be noted.

Kyle Hendricks - P, CHC @ WAS (FD - $9,000)

Hendricks has allowed two or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts while adding five or more strikeouts in three of those same five outings. He is facing off against the Nationals, who are all but dead in the playoff race but pose a decent threat in terms of their offense. Hendricks isn't the biggest strikeout pitcher, but his 40%+ groundball rate should help him limit the damage tonight.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Edwin Encarnacion - 1B, CLE @ TOR (FD - $3,900)

Encarnacion comes in with a .344 wOBA and a massive .263 ISO vs right-handed pitchers, making him a home run candidate tonight. He is facing off against Marco Estrada, who is giving up a whopping 2.25 HR/9 to righties this season, which lines up perfectly for E5.

Scooter Gennett - 2B, CIN vs SDP (FD - $4,100)

Despite this being a lefty vs lefty matchup, Gennett is in a good spot to continue his hot streak. He has three home runs in his last three games and comes in with a .179 ISO vs left-handed pitchers this season. The Reds make a nice stack tonight since they are up against Eric Lauer, who is giving up a .366 wOBA to lefties.

Yandy Diaz - 3B, CLE @ TOR (FD - $3,200)

Diaz offers the slightest bit of savings today, which can't be overlooked on such a small slate. He has a .415 wOBA vs right-handed pitchers this season, but it comes from an only 22-game sample size. The Indians have an implied run total set at 5.3, which should make them one of the most popular options on the slate.

Nick Ahmed - SS, ARI vs ATL (FD - $2,500)

Ahmed also offers a bit of saving today and should be used in a full stack to hopefully reach his full value. Over the past 15 days, Ahmed has a 41% fly ball rate and a 35% hard contact rate, which lines up nicely vs Anibal Sanchez, who is giving up a 41% fly ball rate to righties. Sneaky home run upside here.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Adam Eaton - OF, WAS vs CHC (FD - $3,800)

Eaton has only four career hits vs Hendricks, but two of those hits have gone for home runs. If you are a believer in BvP, this might be the spot for you. Not saying you should be full stacking the Nationals, but as a one-off in GPPs, Eaton is a solid pick.

Billy McKinney - OF, TOR vs CLE (FD - $3,200)

McKinney and the Blue Jays are likely going to be a contrarian play tonight, but that presents nice upside in GPPs. They are up against Shane Bieber who is giving up 1.27 HR/9 to lefties this season, along with a .398 wOBA.
