FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (8/6/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Tom Vecchio highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 8/6/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a 10-game slate giving us plenty of options to pick from, so ownership should be spread out. There are a few big name arms on the bump tonight, so you will be looking to have exposure to them in your lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/6/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Trevor Bauer - P, CLE vs MIN (FD - $11,500)

Bauer is coming off a start where he didn't look like himself and it was against this very same Twins team he is facing tonight. He comes into this game with seven or more strikeouts in 12 of his last 13 starts and has a 30.7% strikeout rate on the season. The Twins have a 21% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers this season, which isn't the highest in the league, but Bauer put up 11 strikeouts in the first time he faced them this season, so I'd side with Bauer on this one.

Nick Tropeano - P, LAA vs DET (FD - $7,200)

Tropeano certainly isn't the most exciting pitcher on the slate, but he is up against a weak Tigers team, so an opportunity for him to put up a good performance. The Tigers have .285 team wOBA vs right-handed pitchers this season, which is second worst in the league and a team ISO of .132, which is third worst in the league. Those are some really rough numbers for the Tigers and even with the recent struggles for Tropeano as of late, he makes a viable cheaper option today.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Anthony Rizzo - 1B, CHC @ KAN (FD - $3,900)

Rizzo has a nice little four-game hitting streak going right now and in a phenomenal spot to add to it tonight. He is facing off against Jakob Junis, who is giving up a .360 wOBA and 1.82 HR/9 to lefties this season. Rizzo comes in with a .373 wOBA and a .224 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this year, which lines up perfectly for him to extend this streak.

Josh Harrison - 2B, PIT @ COL (FD - $3,700)

Harrison and the Pirates are at Coors Field tonight, so always nice to get some exposure to the bats there. He is up against Kyle Freeland, who is giving up a 32% hard contact rate to righties this season, along with a 33% fly ball rate. Those are some rough numbers for the lefty, so side with the Pirates bats at the best hitter's park in the league.

Kyle Seager - 3B, SEA @ TEX (FD - $2,600)

Seager had two home runs last night and now gets a nice positive park shift in his favor being in Texas. Despite this being a lefty vs lefty matchup, he actually has some good numbers. He comes in with a .333 wOBA and a .162 ISO vs left-handed pitchers, so load up the Mariners tonight with their 5.30 implied run total.

Didi Gregorius - SS, NYY @ CWS (FD - $3,900)

The Yankees are struggling right now, so Gregorius is more of a one-off play in GPPs, looking for that home run upside. He has a .236 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season and has three multi-hit games over his last six.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Brandon Nimmo - OF, NYM vs CIN (FD - $3,200)

Nimmo comes in with a .380 wOBA and a .242 ISO vs right-handed pitchers and is up against a home run prone pitcher. That pitcher is Homer Bailey, who is giving up 2.19 HR/9 to lefties this season, along with a 38% fly ball rate. This isn't the best hitter's park, but Bailey is just so bad vs lefties.

Derek Dietrich - OF, MIA vs STL (FD - $2,500)

Dietrich is cheap and comes a .156 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season and a .353 wOBA. Those are some strong numbers for a player at his price and will be in a spot to hit for some power vs Luke Weaver, who is giving up 1.49 HR/9 to lefties this season.
