Troy Klauder highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 8/5/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

With 13 games on the main slate, we've got a rare Monday night with so many teams in action around baseball.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/5/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Charlie Morton, TAM vs. TOR ($10,100)

Morton is having a phenomenal season, with a 2.78 ERA, 2.70 Deserved Run Average, and a 30.1% K-rate. He should continue his success at home in his pitcher-friendly park against the Blue Jays, who are well below-average with their .307 wOBA against righties. Toronto also has a high 24.3% K-rate, so Morton has a ton of strikeout upside. He is your safest bet at getting the top starting pitcher, and is a strong investment in cash games.

Masahiro Tanaka, NYY at BAL ($7,800)

Tanaka has been awful in his last two starts, giving up 12 runs to the Red Sox and turning in a four inning clunker his last time out. It's easy to be scared off by his recent performance, but he's an interesting buy low as he takes on the Orioles. Baltimore has just a .302 wOBA versus right-handed pitching, which ranks them as the fourth-worst offense in the league. At the very least, Tanaka should be able to get the win, and he is a cheap contrarian option at starting pitcher. On a slate with hardly any value pitching, Tanaka's weak opponent makes him an attractive target.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Joc Pederson – 1B, LOS vs STL ($2,900)

Pederson has been cold lately, but this is a price where he's still worth buying. Pederson is in a great spot for runs leading off for the loaded Dodgers lineup, and he should have plenty of opportunities to score against Cardinals starter Michael Wacha. Wacha has a horrible 5.93 FIP, and Pederson has crushed righties with a 122 wRC+ and 23 homers.

Rougned Odor – 2B, TEX vs DET ($3,200)

Odor is coming off an awesome weekend with two homers and a steal. He's been mashing over the last two weeks, batting .327 with an 1.166 OPS and six homers. Tonight Odor gets to face a rookie starting pitcher in his extremely hitter-friendly home park. He should be deployed in GPP tournaments for his power and speed upside, although he's a risky play in cash games.

Josh Donaldson – 3B, ATL at MIN ($3,500)

It's surprising to see Donaldson at such a modest price with the season he's had, as he's got a .257/.371/.523 line with 26 home runs. He can see plenty of RBI chances batting cleanup for the Braves against Jake Odorizzi. Odorizzi is a regression candidate, as he's outperformed his 4.39 SIERA, so he could get beat up tonight.

Didi Gregorius - SS, NYY at BAL ($3,400)

Yankees bats almost feel like too obvious of a play against the feeble Orioles pitching staff, who they've obliterated this year. Didi has finally found his footing over the last 15 days, batting .300 with 14 RBI. Fire up those Yankees in a hitter's park in Baltimore.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Khris Davis, OAK at CHC ($2,900)

Davis hasn't looked right this year, but he's still a huge power threat - especially in Wrigley Field, which is a much better hitting environment than his home park. Assuming that Khrush doesn't sit in an NL park, he has plenty of upside worth chasing at this price.

Lorenzo Cain, MIL at PIT ($2,900)

Cain is a discount outfielder to look for in cash games as the Brewers leadoff hitter. Opposing starter Dario Agrazal has a 6.35 FIP, and Cain will get to maximize the number of chances he gets against him atop the lineup.
