There are a plethora of games tonight (14 games), giving us plenty of options across the board. It makes lineup construction a bit more interesting, as there are multiple different ways to go about making lineups on this type of slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 7/31/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Masahiro Tanaka - P, vs BAL ($9,400)

Tanaka is coming off an elite complete game shutout, in which he scored 64 fantasy points. He has been playing well over his last 10 starts, recording a 4-0 record with a 3.92 ERA and a 1.08 WHIP over that span. He gets an elite matchup against the Baltimore Orioles, who have one of the worst offenses in the MLB. Tanaka is a -315 favorite in a game set at 9 runs, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.

Zack Godley - P, vs TEX ($8,100)

Godley has struggled at times this season, but he has thrown well at home. Through 10 home games (nine starts), he owns a 5-2 record with a 3.88 ERA and a 1.39 ERA. He gets a matchup against the Texas Rangers, who strikeout at one of the highest rates on the slate. They have also struggled to score runs this season, and Godley is a -178 favorite in a game set at 9 runs. He can be used in all leagues for a relatively low price tag.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Edwin Encarnacion - C/1B, at MIN ($3,700)

Encarnacion has been on fire over his last 10 games, posting a .289 average with a .579 slugging percentage and a .965 OPS over that span. He also owns 63% hard-hit and 45% fly ball rates with a 94 mph exit velocity over the last 15 days. Encarnacion isn't necessarily the safest option on the slate, but he makes an elite play in tournaments.

Josh Harrison - 2B, vs CHC ($2,900)

Harrison has only played in limited games this season, but he has performed well at home. Through 35 home games, Harrison owns a .263 average with 10 extra-base hits, 18 RBIs, and two steals. He gets a solid matchup against Jon Lester, and Harrison features 0.054 wOBA and 0.092 ISO differentials against lefties. He has been playing well enough to be used in all leagues.

Eduardo Escobar - 3B, vs TEX ($3,500)

Escobar was recently traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks, but it looks like he's going to continue to hit in a favorable spot in their lineup. He gets an elite matchup against Bartolo Colon, who has struggled quite a bit this season. Escobar dominated right-handed pitching, and Escobar makes an elite option in all leagues, as Arizona should feature one of the best offenses on the slate tonight.

Asdrubal Cabrera - SS, at BOS ($3,200)

Cabrera has performed well throughout the season, hitting .272 with .478 slugging percentage and an .801 OPS in 100 games. He gets a good matchup against Drew Pomeranz, and Cabrera will be playing in a hitter friendly stadium tonight. He does come with quite a bit of risk, but he makes a solid option in tournaments on this slate.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Shohei Ohtani - OF, at TB ($3,200)

Ohtani has been struggling recently, but he comes with quite a bit of power. He owns 0.174 wOBA and 0.222 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching, and he gets a solid matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays, who utilize a deep bullpen on a near nightly basis. Ohtani is expected to hit second in the Los Angeles Angels lineup, but he's best suited for tournaments.

Alex Gordon - OF, at CWS ($2,300)

Gordon has performed well on the road this season, hitting .247 with a .373 slugging percentage and a .693 OPS through 43 road games. He'll be playing in a hitter friendly stadium, and he gets a great matchup against James Shields. He owns 0.064 wOBA and 0.096 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching, and he can be considered in all leagues for his current price tag.
