FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/3/19): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Daniel E. Dobish highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/3/19, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a full slate of Major League Baseball games, with eight day games with first pitch between 12:35 p.m. and 4:07 p.m. ET, with one game at 6:10 p.m., and five games starting at 7:05 p.m. ET. We'll have selections for the 'All Day' contests, so you'll have a wide-array of selections to choose from.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/3/2019. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @danieledobish.

Weather Outlook

Watch the weather again Wednesday for the Philadelphia-Washington game. While rain won't be an issue, there will be a strong wind blowing at 13-16 mph from left field. For the Chicago White Sox-Cleveland battle at Progressive Field, the wind will be blowing anywhere from 15-18 mph from left to right, likely knocking down plenty of fly balls. For the Minnesota-Kansas City, it's the total opposite, going from right to left at a 12-15 mph clip. For the Houston-Texas game, the wind will be blowing into the batter's face from right-center field anywhere from 15-18 mph, limiting power production.

A coastal storm is creeping up the eastern seaboard, and winds will be gusting in the northeast. For the Detroit-N.Y. Yankees game the winds will be blowing from left to right at an 18-21 mph clip.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Mike Minor - P, TEX vs. HOU ($6000)

Minor is a threat to the Astros, as the Rangers look to take the series. It's a tall order, as Texas is just 5-18 in their past 23 home games against their Lone Star State brethren, but Minor is a good value. The winds will be blowing straight into the face of the batters, likely keeping scores down. The Opening Day starter for Texas was tuned up in his first start, but the Rangers are 4-1 in his past five tries against AL West foes. Look for Minor to bring his best.

Trevor Richards - P, MIA vs. NYM ($6900)

OK, hear me out. The Marlins are facing Jacob deGrom, and that's actually a good thing. Believe it or not deGrom went 0-2 with a 3.12 ERA in four starts last season during his NL Cy Young campaign, the only NL East team he did not beat. He is also 4-6 overall in his career against the Fish. Richards actually had a better ERA against the Mets, posting a 3.09 ERA in two starts vs. Mets in 2018.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Joey Votto - 1B, CIN vs. MIL ($4200)

Votto has hit safely in three of his first four outings, but he has yet to drive in a run. Look for that to change against the Brewers in the series finale.

Ozzie Albies - 2B, ATL vs. CHC ($3700)

Since coming into the league, Albies is slashing .333/.369/.542 against left-handed starting pitchers as opposed to .242/.298/.419 vs. right-handed starters. He has eaten up Chicago pitching, too, hitting .450 (18-for-40) with five doubles, a triple, two homers and seven RBI.

Matt Chapman - 3B, OAK vs. BOS ($4300)

Chapman is on a roll, smacking his third homer of the season in Tuesday's game. The Red Sox starting pitching staff has served up 15 homers through the first six games, with starters coughing up 12 of the bombs. Chapman has clouts in each of the first two games of this series.

Nick Ahmed - SS, ARI at SD ( $2900)

Ahmed has faced Padres LHP Joey Lucchesi on a fairly limited basis, but he has seen the ball well in their brief dealings. He is 5-for-13 (.385) with a triple, two homers and five RBI with a 1.385 OPS.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Aaron Judge - OF, NYY vs. DET ($4800)

Judge has yet to homer, but he is still hitting .333 (6-for-18) overall. Since coming into the league he has belted 16 homers in 239 at-bats vs. LHP. Look for him to give it a ride against Tigers LHP Matthew Boyd.

Marcell Ozuna - OF, STL at PIT ($3000)

Ozuna has hit safely in four of his first five games, although he took the collar on Monday in the series opener. He has yet to drive in a run while striking out eight times across 21 at-bats. Let the pain of previous DFS owners help you. Ozuna is due to break out, especially against a Pittsburgh team he hit .345 (20-for-58) with four doubles, two homers and 14 RBI against in 2018.

Christian Yelich - OF, MIL at CIN ($5200)

If you're going to eat some chalk on Wednesday, roll with the defending National League MVP. He has hit safely in each of his six games, and he has at least one extra-base hit in each of those contests. Look for the good times to roll against RHP Luis Castillo at GABP.
