FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (4/19/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Tom Vecchio highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 4/19/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a splits slate of games, but the majority of them are on the 7 PM main slate. Despite not having any super high priced pitchers on the slate, there are some good options for both cash games and GPPs. These pitchers aren't too expensive, so you can have a good mix of big bats in your lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/19/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Zack Greinke - P, ARI vs SFG (FD - $9,000)

Greinke is off to a solid start this year with 21 strikeouts in 17 innings and has only allowed one walk. Tonight he is up against the Giants, who have a 25% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is 10th worst in the league. It should also help that the Giants have scored the fewest runs in the league this season, so a team who isn't too threatening offensively, so not a team you truly have to worry about. Very good cash game option tonight, and really isn't that expensive, so you can have strong bats in your lineups along with him.

Chase Anderson - P, MIL vs MIA (FD - $7,800)

Anderson is up against the against the Marlins, who are clearly one of the weaker teams in the league, so they are a good target to pick on. He has four starts this season, three of which he went at least six innings. Always good to see that your pitchers aren't going to be pulled early, so they can rack up the fantasy points simply by being out there. Anderson has put up five or more strikeouts in three of his four starts and comes in with a 23% strikeout rate.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Martín Maldonado - C, LAA vs BOS (FD - $2,700)

Maldonado is a bit of a cheaper option at catcher and gets you some nice exposure to the Angels offense, which is among the top ones in the league. This season he has a .345 wOBA versus right-handed pitchers but is lacking the power. He is more of a GPP option if you are looking to stack against Rodriguez, who gave up 1.29 HR/9 to right-handed hitters last season.

Anthony Rizzo - 1B, CHC vs STL (FD - $3,800)

Rizzo is simply too cheap, as he is a player we saw up around $5K at the beginning of the season. Yes, he might be off to a slow start this season, there is no denying that, but last season he had a .382 wOBA and a .230 ISO vs right-handed pitchers. Take the savings while you can, and bet on his historic success against righties.

Jose Altuve - 2B, HOU @ SEA (FD - $4,300)

Anytime you have the salary for someone like Altuve, you should be rostering him in a spot like this. Last season he had a 164 wRC+ and a .209 ISO vs left-handed pitcher, which are massive numbers, and a type of player you want in your lineup. He has two hits in his last three games but is lacking in the other stats, so hopefully, this is the spot for him to get things going in the right direction.

Didi Gregorius - SS, NYY vs TOR (FD - $4,500)

Gregorius is off to a hot start this season, especially against right-handed pitchers, who he is crushing right now. He has a .547 wOBA and a .588 ISO against RHP, both of which play extremely well with the short right field wall at Yankee Stadium. He is up against Aaron Sanchez, who is giving up a .495 wOBA to left-handed hitters, which let me tell you, is horrible, so just roster Sir Didi.

Todd Frazier - 3B, NYM @ ATL (FD - $4,000)

Frazier and the Mets are off to a hot start this season, and now get a nice positive park shift going to Atalanta. Frazier is a reverse splits hitter, as he has a .430 wOBA and a .244 ISO versus right-handed pitchers to start the season. These stats may even out as the season goes on, but if he is seeing the ball well and being productive against righties, this is the spot you want to roster him.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Kyle Schwarber - OF, CHC vs STL (FD - $3,900)

The slimmed down version of Schwarber is still crushing vs right-handed pitchers, making this a good spot for him. This season he has a .395 wOBA and a .306 ISO vs RHP, and is always a great GPP option, because of his home run upside. That does come with boom or bust potential because of his 30% strikeout rate, but this is a good spot for him to go deep...YABO!

Lorenzo Cain - OF, MIL vs MIA (FD - $3,200)

Cain has a .439 and a .167 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, which are good numbers, but the production hasn't bee there yet. Only one home run, five RBIs, and six runs to start the season. The production will come, and in this favorable hitter's stadium, he makes a great addition to a Brewers stack.
