FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/9/16): MLB DFS Advice

Jason Bales highlights the top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for 9/9/16. These are the top value and sleeper plays for your FanDuel MLB DFS lineups.

After a short slate last night, the MLB is back in action. Hopefully, everyone enjoyed the first NFL game of the season between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers.

The Rockies are no longer in Coors Field, so digging to find value is going to be a bit tougher. Luckily, this article is here for your perusal.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball MLB lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/9/16. The DFS lineup picks will range from high-priced to low-priced options and identify options who will out-perform their expectations, including sleepers and value plays on FanDuel.

DFS Lineup Stacks to Target for FanDuel

San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants have been struggling of recent, but with such a great matchup against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Rubby De La Rosa in Arizona, a hitter-friendly stadium, stacking them in tournaments makes a lot of sense. The Giants are going to have to start to turn their second half of the season around, or the playoffs will quickly be out of reach.

Cleveland Indians

The Cleveland Indians are one of the best offensive teams in the MLB, and the Minnesota Twins are going to struggle to keep them off of the scoreboard. Minnesota is a semi-hitter-friendly area, and the Indians are really starting to heat up. Francisco Lindor is hitting over .400 in his last 10 games, so keep him in mind when stacking.

Washington Nationals

The Washington Nationals are also one of the best offensive teams in the league, and Jake Thompson has not been the pitcher that the Philadelphia Phillies had been hoping for. The Nationals have multiple hot hitters right now, making them a great stack for both 50/50 contests and tournaments. Do not pass this matchup up.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider for FanDuel

Carlos Martinez ($10,000)

Carlos Martinez has been pitching great of recent for the St. Louis Cardinals. In his last four starts, he has over 40 fantasy points in all of them. On the season, he has been great with a 13-7 record, 3.07 ERA, and 143 strikeouts over 164.1 innings pitched. The Milwaukee Brewers are not going to be able to score against the Cardinals' right-hander.

Julio Teheran ($8,600)

Julio Teheran gets a semi-tough matchup tonight against the New York Mets, who have been hot of recent, but he is pitching in pitcher-friendly Atlanta and has great upside. In his last two starts, he has over 50 fantasy points in both of them. On the season, he has been great with a 3.01 ERA, 5-9 record, and 143 strikeouts over 158.2 innings pitched. Use him in tournaments.

DFS Infielders to Consider for FanDuel

Catcher (C) - Yadier Molina ($3,100)

Yadier Molina has been great for the St. Louis Cardinals all season long with a .296 batting average, seven home runs, and 46 RBIs. Two games ago, he posted over 45 fantasy points against the Pittsburgh Pirates, and he has the ability to do that again tonight against the Milwaukee Brewers. Without too many other solid catching options, use him in all formats.

First Base (1B) - Kendrys Morales ($3,400)

Kendrys Morales is too cheap on FanDuel right now. He has over 30 fantasy points in three straight games now, and he is hitting over .400 in his last 10 games. With 26 home runs and 74 RBIs on the season, his power and upside are obvious. Use him in all formats until he cools down.

Second Base (2B) - Ryan Schimpf ($3,000)

Ryan Schimpf has not been hitting for a high average of recent, but he is hitting for power. On the season, he has 17 home runs and 40 RBIs, making him usable in tournaments for his current price tag. He gets a decent matchup against the Colorado Rockies, and with over 15 fantasy points two games ago, he should be able to dominate value if he starts to heat up.

Shortstop (SS) - Brandon Crawford ($3,200)

Brandon Crawford gets a great matchup tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks, and he is a big part of the Giants' offense. He is hitting right around .275 on the season with 12 home runs and 77 RBIs. In Arizona, he has the power to go yard. Use him in tournaments for his upside.

Third Base (3B) - Nolan Arenado ($3,900)

Nolan Arenado hits well at the plate no matter where he is playing. Obviously, he hits better in Coors Field. In his last game, he posted over 24 fantasy points, and he should be able to continue to excel tonight against Luis Perdomo and the San Diego Padres. Fire him up in all formats, as he is hitting over .400 in his last 10 games.

DFS Outfielders to Consider for FanDuel

Trea Turner ($4,200)

Trea Turner is expensive, but he gets a great matchup against the Philadelphia Phillies and Jake Thompson, who has struggled since getting called up to the major leagues. Turner is hitting over .300 in his last 10 games and on the season. He also has six home runs and 27 RBIs in limited at-bats. To add to his upside, he knows how to steal bases with 21 on the season so far.

Raimel Tapia ($2,900)

Charlie Blackmon has been dealing with an injury of recent, and Raimel Tapia is starting in his place right now. He has been hitting well, and his price tag is just too low. Take advantage of that until Blackmon returns, which should be soon.
