Early Slate - DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (4/26/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Freddy Peralta - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top early daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on April 26, 2023. Mike's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a five-game matinee on getaway day, and we here at RotoBaller are going to start giving you both early and main slates on getaway days going forward. We realize that there is still money to be won on these slates and you guys are interested, so thank you for that!

This article contains my picks for the five-game early slate on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, for both DraftKings and FanDuel, which locks at 1:05 PM ET. Well...it's a six-game slate on FanDuel. They played the smart game and put the Reds on there against Texas. Let's have some fun with this! Just watch out for some storms in the Baltimore area.

The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Freddy Peralta, MIL vs. DET ($10,100 DK, $10,000 FD)

Pitching is a bit rough on the early slate, but Peralta against the Tigers would stand out on any slate. Peralta dominated the Mets and Cardinals to open the season but struggled against the Padres and Boston in his last couple of starts. He has allowed nine runs in 10.2 innings over his last two starts. Where's the redemption? For starters, take a look at the career whiff rates of the current Tigers against Peralta.

It's a smaller sample size, but I trust that because of Peralta's history with swing-and-miss stuff. Count me in!

Tyler Wells, BAL vs. BOS ($7,500 DK, $7,600 FD)

Chalk up another win for FD today since they have Cleveland prospect Tyler Bibee on the slate and he is conspicuously missing on DK. Way to go, DK. I love Bibee on FD, so Wells is mostly for DK. He doesn't rack up a ton of strikeouts, but Wells eats innings and doesn't make a ton of mistakes. He has only allowed two walks and 14 hits in four starts. Those are numbers we can work with on DK since you're docked for hits and walks.

Camden Yards hasn't suppressed power as much as it did last year in the early going, but Wells does a great job of limiting damage because he limits traffic on the bases. You can do a lot worse for SP2 today.

Others to consider: German Marquez at CLE

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Joey Gallo - 1B/OF, MIN at NYY ($4,600 DK, $3,400 FD)

Gallo is on a bit of a heater. He has three homers in the last week and 11 career homers at Yankee Stadium -- his third-most at any ballpark. He even doubled in his only plate appearance yesterday after not starting against a lefty. Gallo has reached base at least once in every game that he has started since April 4. I'll stay on this train until it derails.

Jorge Polanco - 2B, MIN at NYY ($4,100 DK, $3,300 FD)

I honestly had no intention of going after Domingo German, but here we are. However, I will definitely limit exposure to these two slots. Speaking of heaters, Polanco has started his season on a five-game hit streak with his homer and all six RBIs coming within the last three games. His price could be about $1,000 higher on both sites, but I'm glad it's not.

Jorge Mateo - SS, BAL vs. BOS ($4,700 DK, $3,800 FD)

Mateo has at least one hit in every start since April 13. It has been quite an opening month for him as well.  The Orioles have been a nice surprise this season and Mateo is a huge reason why. He is hitting .351 with four homers and 13 RBIs to go along with his seven steals. There is a lot of potential for crooked numbers today.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

George Springer - OF, TOR vs. CWS ($4,900 DK, $2,800 FD)

We have a struggling offense against a struggling pitcher. Something has to give. Springer racked up three hits yesterday and may finally be breaking out of his slump. For that price on FD, I'm finding out if he does. I'm not a huge fan of any of those monster prices on DraftKings, but the Jays could be the highest-scoring team on the slate and Springer leads off. It's worth the shot.

Charlie Blackmon - OF, COL at CLE ($3,500 DK, $2,700 FD)

Blackmon is not the hitter that he once was, but he is still capable of racking up some hits. He has three multi-hit games in his last eight with five of those games coming on the road. There's always a chance that the Rockies sit the veteran for the matinee game, but I want him in there against a prospect making his first start. If Blackmon is in Colorado's lineup, he will be in mine as well.

Jarren Duran - OF, BOS at BAL ($3,000 DK, $3,000 FD)

Duran has three multi-hit games in the last five, including a grand slam last night. He is hitting a robust .387 on the season with a homer, 10 RBIs, and a pair of steals in the nine games that he has played this season. Enjoy the discount while it lasts! We just need to hope that he moves up in the order a little.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Michael Kopech

Kopech has only had one good start on the season. It was against the Pirates in Pittsburgh, a notorious park for suppressing offense. He gave up five homers in the opener against the Giants and has allowed three more in his last two starts. Kopech has issued eight walks, 12 hits, and eight runs in 10 innings over his last two starts, and those are his good ones.

Springer is my favorite based on price and the fact that he leads off. Chapman, Bichette, and Vladdy put a pinch on the pocketbook, but if you want to do a proper stack, you need them. If not, pick and choose. There is no wrong answer. Kopech hasn't been good against righties or lefties this year.

Also consider: Milwaukee Brewers against Detroit's awful staff on a bullpen day
