DraftKings NCAA Tournament CBB DFS Lineup Picks For 3/17/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

Zach Edey - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 3/17/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Where everyone is Irish for one day. And don't even go pretending that you weren't going to be watching basketball and drinking...uh...beverages all day anyway. It's the NCAA Tournament! Let's add some more excitement with a monster 16-game slate on DraftKings, shall we?

The late swap will be critical here since we have roughly 14 hours of basketball today. This isn't NBA basketball, folks. It's all enjoyable and everyone wants to be here. This slate will not be marred by tanking!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 3/17/23, starting at 12:15 pm Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Kendric Davis, Memphis ($9,900)

Memphis's offense revolves around two players, which makes DFS decisions regarding the Tigers incredibly easy. Davis is averaging 24.9 points per game over the last three weeks, so he is peaking heading into the tournament. It isn't just the points. He is averaging 4.4 assists and three rebounds per game in that span, along with a block and a steal. Davis is doing everything and he will no matter the opponent.

Sincere Carry, Kent State ($8,900)

His name sums it up since he carried Kent to an NCAA Tournament bid. Carry has at least 30 DraftKings points in eight straight games to close out the year. Yes, this is going to be a tough game against the Hoosiers. Much like Davis though, the Flashes are going to keep going to Carry no matter the score and no matter the opponent. Carry had solid games against Charleston, San Diego State, and Gonzaga earlier this season. That makes me feel better about the high price.

Brandon Stroud, Kennesaw State ($6,000)

Those 3-14 games have become very exciting in recent years. I don't expect Xavier to lose this game, but good guards can give them problems. Burden has scored in double figures in all but one game since the calendar flipped to 2023, so his scoring can be a problem. However, if Xavier can stop his scoring, he will underwhelm. That's where Stroud comes in. He has at least five rebounds in the last five games and usually scores in double figures. I expect the Owls to hang around in this game, if not have a chance to win. If that's true, it will take a really good game from Burden and/or Stroud.

Desmond Claude, Xavier ($4,600)

The freshman has provided consistent production since Zach Freemantle went down. He's becoming more assertive on the offense and a more efficient scorer. Claude has at least 17 DraftKings points in five of the last six games, scoring in double figures in four of those. He's a solid value player who gets a lot of minutes. That could mean an uptick in production at any time since he's on the court for 30 minutes.

Also consider: Tyler Kolek, Marquette ($10,000); Malique Jacobs, Kent State ($8,100); A.J. Hoggard, Michigan State ($8,000); Tucker DeVries, Drake ($7,700); Daniss Jenkins, Iona ($7,400); Rayshon Harrison, Grand Canyon ($6,900); Dylan Penn, Vermont ($6,400); Jaden Akins, Michigan State ($5,800); RaeQuan Battle, Montana State ($5,400); Jalen Sullinger, Kent State ($4,500); Dale Bonner, Baylor ($3,800)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Trayce Jackson-Davis, Indiana ($11,000)

You really can't go wrong with TJD, Edey, or Tshibwe here. However, Purdue likely won't need to push Edey against Fairleigh Dickinson. Tshiebwe is strong and consistent, but he's not always the focal point of the team. TJD has been Indiana's focal point for the better part of three months now. He has at least 52 DraftKings points in four straight and at least 45 in 13 of the last 15 games. Indiana should be in a fight with Kent, meaning the Hoosiers are going to need another big game from TJD.

Jacob Toppin, Kentucky ($8,400)

Honestly, I will miss watching Toppin as the point-center for the Wildcats. It made them a little more interesting. Still, Toppin keeps putting up strong numbers even with the guards back. It has cut into the production of Tshiebwe, but it ultimately makes Kentucky a better team. Just not for DFS purposes. Toppin gets about the same production as Tshiebwe at a fraction of the price even though his ceiling isn't as high.

Jubrile Belo, Montana State ($5,500)

Belo sometimes gets in foul trouble, which worries me some against a team like Kansas State. However, the price is right and his size could be a bit of a problem for the Wildcats. Belo excels on the boards and has been very good at getting to the free-throw line. The Big Sky and the Big 12(10) are not the same, but Belo is already 24 years old. I trust his experience to do him well in the tournament.

Jamiya Neal, Arizona State ($4,500)

Neal was huge in the play-in game, putting up 29.5 DraftKings points. We have seen the occasional outburst from Neal like this, the last one being against rival Arizona, who just got bounced by Princeton yesterday. Neal has been more involved in the offense, starting with the Pac-12 Tournament last weekend. This seems like a lasting trend right now, which makes Neal a nice potential bargain. He has scored 43 points in those four games.

Also consider: Zach Edey, Purdue ($11,200); DeAndre Williams, Memphis ($9,500); Nelly Junior Joseph, Iona ($8,500); Jalen DeLoach, Virginia Commonwealth ($7,100); Gabe McGlothan, Grand Canyon ($6,500); Mason Gillis, Purdue ($5,400); Great Osobor, Montana State ($4,900); Tre King, Iowa State ($4,600); Guillermo Diaz-Graham, Pitt ($4,500); Malik Reneau, Indiana ($3,800)
