The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on May 29th 2022. Kyle Ringstad provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

The series shifts back to Miami with a Game 7 on the line and a chance to head to the NBA Finals to face the Warriors. Jimmy Butler put the squad squarely on his back as he carried the Heat with an incredible 47-point performance, while Kyle Lowry finally woke up and produced a pivotal 18/4/10 stat line in the win. The Celtics are currently 2.5-point favorites on the road in what's projecting to be a low-scoring game as Vegas currently has it at a 195.5-point implied total. This is going to be a fun, slug-it-out affair with an NBA Finals berth on the line.

There are seven rotational players in this game who are being listed as questionable - keep an eye on injury updates and adjust accordingly.

DraftKings and FanDuel Captains/MVP - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jimmy Butler - ($10,800 DK, $16,000 FD)

You can't really go with anyone else here with what we saw transpire in an epic Game 6 in Boston. Butler went nuclear with a 47/9/8/1/4 line, good for 81.75 DK points over 46 minutes. He simply wasn't going to accept defeat, and if you think his mindset has changed now that we're approaching Game 7 in his home arena, you should probably reassess your process. He steps up in big moments, and it doesn't get any bigger than one final game to send your team to the NBA Finals. His usage is going to be through the roof once again tonight, and I want all of the Butler at Captain/MVP that I can get. If he's not in the MVP slot on FanDuel, then he has to be at the top of the priority list for your STAR spot.

Jayson Tatum - ($11,000 DK, $15,500 FD)

Tatum, of course, is the guy to get to if you're wanting to swerve away from the field flocking to Butler after his insane Game 6 performance. Tatum has been more consistent this series, putting up at least 50 DK points in each of the last three games in additional to 55.5 DK points in Game 1. His ceiling is about the same as Butler's - if it's not higher - and that's what we're looking to target on single-game slates. Like Butler, he's going to take a boatload of shots and hog the majority of the usage, so his chances at hitting a ceiling game will hinge on him making his shots. He's averaging 25/8/6 in the series, and those numbers would be a lot higher if it weren't for a dreadful 10/6/4 performance in Game 3.

Bam Adebayo - ($8,400 DK, $11,000 FD)

I like him a lot more in the STAR and PRO slots over on FanDuel, but you can certainly take some shots on Bam in the Captain and MVP spots as well. He has experienced a very up-and-down (mostly down) playoffs to this point, with his Game 5 (35 DK points) and Game 3 (63.5 DK points) being the two times he has truly broken out and been a valuable DFS piece in this series. The Heat will need him to be big on the glass again, and if he can regain the shooting efficiency and hustle stats he put up in Game 3 and Game 5, he's going to be in the optimal lineup tonight. It's highly unlikely that he outscores Butler, Tatum, and Brown, though, so I'd mostly reserve him for the STAR and PRO multiplier spots on FanDuel.

DraftKings and FanDuel Utility Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kyle Lowry - ($10,500 DK, $12,000 FD)

It has been quite the tumultuous playoffs for Lowry, to say the least. He has dealt with nagging injuries and inconsistent production throughout the playoffs, but he went off for 44.5 DK points over 37 minutes in a must-win Game 6. He fouled out, but his 18/4/10/1/1 line was very encouraging. There was room for plenty more in his line, too, as he shot just 5-for-14 from the field in the victory. He's back to being expensive, but that could just make him more contrarian as most people won't trust the one-game return to form for the veteran. I'm willing to bet that the Heat ride Butler and Lowry in this one, which gives the latter a chance at crushing value again tonight.

Robert Williams III - ($6,400 DK, $11,500 FD)

I don't have a ton of interest at his FanDuel price, but Time Lord looks like a great value piece to take shots on over on DraftKings tonight. We know the deal with him by now - he has dealt with injuries all playoffs long, but since he's such a great FPTS/min producer, he still has games where he crushes value when he gets enough playing time to do so. He has seen at least 26 minutes in three of the five games he has played in this series, and he has put up at least 26.5 DK points in 3-of-5 games as well. He's efficient from the field, pulls down a lot of boards, and has recorded at least two blocks in eight straight games. The potential for a huge game is always going to exist with him - don't miss out on it.

Max Strus - ($6,000 DK, $8,500 FD)

Strus isn't an exciting play by any stretch of the imagination, but we take what we can get on a single-game slate. He's the most appealing player to get to at $6,000 or lower on DraftKings, and he rates out as the top play at $8,500 or lower over on FanDuel. He is projecting to see about 32 minutes tonight after playing 34 minutes in Game 6, a game where he went for 18 DK points on 5-of-12 shooting, two rebounds, and two assists. He ran into foul trouble and eventually fouled out, but we have to love the workload he received and the production he showed at his low price. Getting 18-24 DK points out of him tonight would be a big win, and he may be a key piece to building lineups we're comfortable with tonight.
