DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (3/21/23): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on March 21st, 2023. Max Kulish provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! I know this is the month where college basketball shines, but tonight we've got a solid 6-game slate, headlined by the TNT doubleheader. These articles focus on the overall best plays, which are typically more suited for cash games. However, some exceptions may apply, depending on the size of the slate.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/21/23. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool as the slate can completely change before lineups lock.

As always, feel free to follow my Twitter (@Maxadelphia) to keep up-to-date with NBA news and for my nightly NBA bets if you're into that sort of thing. Let's go!

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Trae Young - PG, ATL vs DET ($9,600 DK, $9,900 FD)

On paper, Young has a fantastic matchup against the Pistons' last-ranked defense vs PGs. On top of that, Dejounte Murray seems to be a true game-time decision due to illness, and even if he plays I can't imagine he'll be his sharpest. Young seems like he provides the ceiling on a slate without any of the consistently elite fantasy assets.

De'Aaron Fox - PG, SAC vs BOS ($8,300 DK, $9,200 FD)

This is a disrespectfully low price on DK especially, and I'm not deterred by the Kings' opponents being the Celtics, who have struggled recently. Fox will likely play big minutes in what should feel like a playoff game in Sacramento (what year is it again???), and I fully expect him to be widely owned.

Malakai Branham - PG/SG, SAS @ NO ($5,100 DK, $5,200 FD)

The Spurs are without a number of players tonight, including starting PG Tre Jones. In addition, his primary competition for PG minutes, Devonte' Graham, has missed the last two games with an injury of his own but is listed as questionable for tonight at the time of writing. Branham will at least have a solid role tonight, but he could see elite usage levels should both Jones and Graham sit.

Others to consider: Donovan Mitchell ($8,800 DK, $9,300 FD), Seth Curry ($3,500 DK, $4,200 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jayson Tatum - SF/PF, BOS @ SAC ($10,500 DK, $10,800 FD)

I've already touched on the Sacramento side of this game, but from the Celtics' perspective, I absolutely love this matchup for Tatum. The Kings rank 27th against SFs and don't have great wing defense in general. In addition, Kevin Huerter won't be playing, and while I'm not saying Huerter is a lockdown defender, he's the best wing defender the Kings have.

Rodney McGruder - SG/SF, DET @ ATL ($5,700 DK, $6,400 FD)

Over his last 4 games, during the midst of the Pistons dealing with injuries top to bottom, McGruder is averaging 34.25 DK PPG. This game boasts the highest implied total on the slate at 238.5, so I want to look at exposure where possible. McGruder is also not a household name, so I don't think his ownership will creep too high. I think he makes for a very interesting tournament play tonight.

Corey Kispert - SG/SF, WAS @ ORL ($4,200 DK, $4,800 FD)

With Kyle Kuzma already ruled out for this game, it seems like a great opportunity for Kispert to see an increase in shot attempts. Kuzma takes nearly 6 3's a game, and Kispert is averaging over 42% from deep so far this year. It feels like a perfect opportunity for one of the Wizards' young talents to show what they're capable of.

Others to consider: Kawhi Leonard ($9,500 DK, $9,700 FD),  Harrison Barnes ($5,000 DK, $5,100 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Domantas Sabonis - C, SAC vs BOS ($10,400 DK, $11,000 FD)

Sabonis comes in as the highest-priced player on both slates tonight, largely in part because of how well he's done other things besides score lately. In his past 4 games, he's averaging 63.75 DK PPG with two of those games being triple-doubles. The other two games saw him miss a triple-double by a single rebound, and post 21 rebounds. Last night's game in Utah had an implied total of 240, so depending on how Sabonis performed in that game, that could make this price look like even more of a bargain.

Sandro Mamukelashvili - C, SAS @ NO  ($4,200 DK, $5,100 FD)

If you haven't noticed by now, the Spurs are not particularly interested in winning games this year. I don't say that as a knock on Mamukelashvili, who's played decently, it's just obvious when they're giving guys in their 2nd-3rd year rest nights against the lesser opponent of their back-to-back (tonight vs Pelicans, opposed to tomorrow vs Milwaukee). Zach Collins is the beneficiary of a rest day, and Mamukelashvili is the beneficiary of more playing time. His main strength is his rebounding, and I think he's a sneaky double-double candidate tonight with all of the extra minutes available to him.

Others to consider: Jonas Valanciunas ($6,600 DK, $7,500 FD)
