DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/9/22): Top NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on February 9, 2022. John Brubaker provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

Happy Wednesday, RotoBallers! I hope last night's slate of NBA DFS treated you well. I'm continuing to work on my NBA model, trying to gather more information to make sure all of you are as armed as possible going into each slate. Even with the small adjustments I've made so far, it seems to be working. I'm trying to implement different factors to separate cash options against GPP options. I'll continue to keep you all updated with the adjustments I make, and with all of that said, let's get to tonight!

Tonight we have a nice slate, with ten games on tap. With now both FanDuel and DraftKings having multi-position eligibility players, we'll have to attack slates a bit differently to make our lineups as optimal as possible. That's where I come in! I'll look to find my personal top plays and values for tonight's slate. Things can change during the day as well, so I'll do my best to update as news comes out!

Here are my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 2/9/22. Keep an eye on RotoBaller’s NBA injury news and also our full NBA injury report today to stay up to date before lineups are locked.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anfernee Simons - vs LAL (FD: $6,800, DK: $7,300)

I'll start tonight's slate off with Anfernee Simons. Simons along with Jusuf Nurkic, who we'll talk about later, have been left with essentially nothing following the departures of CJ McCollum, Norman Powell, and Robert Covington along with Damian Lillard recently having surgery on his abdomen. Newly acquired guys like Josh Hart, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, and Eric Bledsoe should make their debuts tonight, but in the event they don't, Simons is an absolute must-play. He'll be a solid play regardless and should play north of 35 minutes, but should the new acquisitions find themselves in the starting lineup, I'll tread with caution.

Terry Rozier, vs CHI (FD: $6,400, DK: $6,900)

I'll have a few Hornets on my radar tonight, starting with Terry Rozier. Rozier had a slow start on Monday but picked it up in the second half, finishing with 20 points, five rebounds, and six assists. With the Hornets down Gordon Hayward, Cody Martin, and Jalen McDaniels tonight, Rozier should see quite a bit of game-time. I currently have Rozier projected for 36 minutes, and he's a 0.82 FanDuel and 0.86 DraftKings points per minute player in this situation. The Hornets should play a higher-paced, higher-scoring game tonight against the Bulls, who are down a few players themselves.

Coby White, at CHA (FD: $4,500, DK: $5,100)

Speaking of the Bulls, they're now down to their fourth starting point guard on the depth chart, Coby White. White, once a promising prospect and reliable DFS option, hasn't quite been able to get his footing this season with all of the new additions Chicago made in the offseason. However, he's a 0.98 FanDuel and 1.02 DraftKings points per minute player in his situation, and I would be shocked if he doesn't play north of 35 minutes due to simply a lack of other options at the position.

Also consider: Josh Giddey (FD: $7,000, DK: $7,600), Tre Mann (FD: $4,700, DK: $4,900)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Miles Bridges, vs CHI (FD: $7,200, DK: $7,800)

Miles Bridges is really coming into his own this season, and that continued on Monday as he logged 26 points, six rebounds, and five assists along with three steals and two blocks against the Raptors. He played 42 minutes on Monday, and I project him to play about 38 minutes in this one as well. He's a 0.94 fantasy point per minute player on both sites in this situation, and I really don't think the Bulls have anyone that can slow him down, as injuries have forced them to play a smaller, fast-paced type of basketball.

Scottie Barnes, at OKC (FD: $6,400, DK: $6,700)

Despite playing next to the reigning NBA Player of the Week in the Eastern Conference, Barnes has had himself a solid stretch of games, logging at least 15 points, eight rebounds, and two assists in each of his last three games. He's always a reliable cash option around this price on both sites, and that's where I'll most likely play him. He's essentially guaranteed to log 36+ minutes and should do so again barring a blowout against the Thunder tonight. The Thunder rank 23rd in power forward efficiency, creating a little bit of a higher-ceiling potential for Barnes, but I'll most likely stick to him in cash only.

P.J. Washington, vs CHI (FD: $4,900, DK: $4,900)

My final Hornet of the night is P.J. Washington. While Kelly Oubre will likely break into the starting lineup with Gordon Hayward out tonight, I think P.J. Washington is a credible pivot in GPPs. Washington is a 0.87 fantasy point per minute player on both sites in this situation, and he should play north of 30 minutes in this one. He played 32 minutes on Monday logging 15 points, nine rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal. The Bulls rank in the bottom third in both center and power forward efficiency, creating a nice positive matchup for Washington to take advantage of tonight.

Also consider: Darius Bazley (FD: $6,000, DK: $5,600), Justise Winslow (FD: $4,300, DK: $4,500)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jusuf Nurkic, vs HOU (FD: $7,700, DK: $8,200)

Like I had mentioned with Simons, the Blazers have essentially stripped their roster and now have a completely different team on their hands. Simons and Nurkic are the constant variables here, and I think Nurkic is rather underpriced, especially on FanDuel because of this. Nurk logged a 14 point double-double along with four assists, two blocks, and a steal last night against the Magic, and should keep the fantasy production rolling tonight against the Lakers as both teams enter on a back-to-back.

Derrick Favors, vs TOR (FD: $3,800, DK: $3,300)

The Thunder are beginning to run out of big man, with Mike Muscala, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, and Isaiah Roby all out in this one. Favors entered the starting lineup on Monday night but was disappointing, logging just four points and seven rebounds. However, he played 26 minutes in that bout with the Warriors, and if that's any indication of how much he'll play tonight, he's an excellent value center on both sites. I wouldn't recommend playing Favors in cash, but he's definitely a solid GPP option if you want spend big elsewhere.

Also consider: Jakob Poeltl (FD: $7,800, DK: $7,500), Evan Mobley (FD: $7,00, DK: $6,800)
