DraftKings, Fanduel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/30/23): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Julio Rodriguez fantasy baseball rankings prospects rookies draft sleepers MLB injury news

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on May 30, 2023. Thunder Dan's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Tuesdays and Fridays often offer the biggest main slates and tonight's is an absolute whopper as we have 13 games on the main slate for both sites.

We get several aces toeing the rubber tonight, meaning I will be on the hunt for value. But there is one cheap SP2 I like on DraftKings that might allow us to spend up on some bats as well.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 5/30/2023 and the slate locking at 7:05 pm ET. The lineup picks will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. Monitoring injury news and today's MLB starting lineups is also essential. Now that we got all that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Shane McClanahan, TBR @ CHC ($11,400 DK, $11,200 FD)

Shane Mac is the undisputed ace on this slate in my opinion. As much as I love what Zac Gallen and Logan Gilbert are doing this season, I think McClanahan brings the highest ceiling in this matchup and I have him pegged for around 8 strikeouts tonight.

He's been in great form for two straight starts, reigning in the walks and pitching seven strong innings in each. The Cubs are a good matchup for him for strikeouts, too, as they have been whiffing more often than usual over the last few weeks. The overall matchup is a bit dicey for run prevention, but I have more faith in McClanahan than most other pitchers to come through in the clutch.

Brayan Bello, BOS vs. CIN ($7,000 DK, $8,600 FD)

On a one-pitcher site like FanDuel, paying up for one of the aces makes the most sense. But on DraftKings, I like going all the way down to Bello at 7k as my SP2.

Bello has been fantastic of late, averaging over 20 DK points per start of his last three outings. He had 17 DK points against Toronto and Cleveland, too, if you want to go back two more starts. He has had some issues with walks and home runs, but getting the Reds at home in a better ballpark for pitchers should help negate some of that risk.

All that green on the chart proves that this is a plus matchup for a RHP. I think Bello is far too cheap for how well he's pitched and we probably only have a few more chances to roster him at such a discounted price if he keeps this going.

Also consider: Zac Gallen, Logan Gilbert, Bryce Elder, Yusei Kikuchi

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Francisco Alvarez - C, NYM vs. Ranger Suarez ($3,100 DK, $3,200 FD)

The Mets' rookie backstop has arrived and there's no doubt about it. He's absolutely raking right now with six of his eight home runs on the season coming in the last eight games. He's facing a lefty here in Suarez who has struggled in his first few starts since coming off the IL.

Austin Riley - 3B, ATL vs. JP Sears ($5,000 DK, $3,200 FD)

Another lefty-masher who is red hot right now is Austin Riley. He hasn't been hitting dingers, but he has been piling up hits, runs, and RBI as the 3-hitter in the best lineup in baseball.

He's always hit lefties well, but this year he has a wOBA over .400 and ISO over .300 against them. With JP Sears being a fly-ball pitcher with poor splits against righties, I like Riley's chances of driving the baseball tonight.

Ketel Marte - 2B, ARI vs. Kyle Freeland ($4,900 DK, $3,000 FD)

Marte should lead off for the Snakes tonight against the Rockies. He is a guy I usually look at against lefties because he's a much better hitter from the right side both in average and power.

Marte has a great BvP history against Freeland and is hitting over .300 against him in 40+ plate appearances. His DK price is about right, but his FD price is far too cheap for his upside and I would be locking him into cash games over there.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Julio Rodriguez - OF, SEA vs. Nestor Cortes ($5,600 DK, $3,800 FD)

J-Rod is absolutely on fire right now. I mentioned it last night on Twitter.

What did he do last night? Oh, he just went 2-3 and hit yet another home run. Tonight he will face Nestor Cortes - a lefty who has a massive flyball rate to RHH. While J-Rod has been better against righties this season, I'll definitely take a shot on him here with his current form in a somewhat favorable matchup.

Nick Pratto - OF/1B, KCR vs. Miles Mikolas ($3,100 DK, $2,900 FD)

Pratto is one of my favorite cash plays lately since being slotted into the lead-off spot. He's been pretty steady and consistent, posting positive points on DK in all but three games this year.

Mikolas is a guy we can definitely target, especially with lefties. Pratto is eligible at first base or outfield on both sites, making him a versatile play that you can plug in wherever you need him.

Mickey Moniak OF, LAA vs. Lucas Giolito ($3,500 DK, $2,700 FD)

These prices feel far too low for a leadoff man who is hitting over .300 with a 1.038 OPS since being called up a few weeks ago.

Moniak has cooled off a bit lately since he burst onto the scene, however, he's still a compelling option on tonight's slate against Lucas Giolito.

Gio has struggled with lefties this season, allowing a .334 wOBA and .221 ISO as well as a 64% fly ball rate. Moniak has shown he has some solid speed and strength at the plate, so I'm down to give him a shot here in a sneaky-good matchup.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

1. Atlanta Braves vs. JP Sears

With a 150 wRC+ and .257 ISO against lefties, the Braves are on the top of my list against Sears, who has been up and down this year and pretty home run prone, too.

2. LA Dodgers vs. Jake Irvin

The Dodgers put up 8 runs on Washington last night and could be ready to try and top that tonight against Irvin, who sports a 5.84 SIERA and a massive walk rate.

Also Consider:

3. Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Kyle Freeland

4. Tampa Bay Rays vs. Kyle Hendricks
