DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (10/15/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Lance McCullers - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on October 15, 2022. Mike Marteny's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's all-day baseball time! No more of this split-slate nonsense. All four series have a game today and they are all staggered, so you have something to watch during commercials in college football games.

Atlanta and Philly are the early birds again. Houston goes for the sweep in Seattle a couple of hours later. The Yankees head to Cleveland with no travel day due to Game 2 yesterday in New York. At least they get a full day to get to Cleveland and settled in. We close out in San Diego again.

As always, this article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. Friday's main slate locks at 2:07 pm EST on 10/15/2022. The lineup picks will range from some elite high-priced players to mid-priced options and value plays. I'll give you a few of my top pitching options and then some infielders, outfielders, and teams to stack! You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports here. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. Now that we got all of that out of the way, it's onto the picks!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Lance McCullers Jr. at SEA ($9,400 DK, $10,500 FD)

It was a nice run for the Mariners but staying alive against McCullers is not going to be easy. He didn't face Seattle this year, but his career numbers against the current Mariners are really good, particularly the strikeouts (33 out of 96 at-bats). He hasn't allowed a homer to anyone currently on the team either.

McCullers made eight starts this year and didn't allow more than three runs in any of them. He allowed two or less in seven of those. This feels like a great chance for Houston to close out Seattle with McCullers on the mound.

Triston McKenzie vs. NYY ($8,900 DK, $10,200 FD)

Pitching is king in the playoffs. Just take a look at all of the low scores out there. I don't usually target the Yankees, but McKenzie shut them out over seven innings with seven strikeouts at home back in July. McKenzie was much better at home over the course of the season as well. I tend to think that it's going to be tougher on the hitters than the pitchers with this quick turnaround. I feel pretty good about using McKenzie, even against the Yankees.

Also consider: Luis Severino, Tyler Anderson

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Freddie Freeman - 1B, LAD at Joe Musgrove ($5,200 DK, $4,300 FD)

Do you believe in Musgrove's resurgence at the end of the season and into the playoffs? It's hard not to. However, Freeman is a guy that has always hit Musgrove whether he's going well or not. Freeman is 8-for-21 with a homer, three RBI, and more walks (4) than strikeouts (3) off of Musgrove in his career. If you're in a large field GPP or just have a strong stomach, Max Muncy has clobbered Musgrove in his career, but he can't hit a beach ball with a redwood right now.

Brandon Drury - 2B/3B, SD vs. Tyler Anderson ($4,200 DK, $3,200 FD)

Drury has pedestrian numbers so far in the playoffs, but Anderson might cure that. Drury is 7-for-22 with four doubles and a homer off of Anderson in his career. I usually don't like to target guys that aren't hitting well, but pickings seem to be pretty slim on the infield today. Besides, I wasn't planning on using Anderson anyway, so I'll have a couple of Padres righties.

Jean Segura - 2B, PHI vs. Charlie Morton ($3,500 DK, $2,500 FD)

Segura is a place to save some cash and not really have to take a hit to do so. He has four hits in four playoff games in 2022 so far, including three against these Braves. He is also 17-for-62 (.274) lifetime with a homer off of Morton. That's a large enough sample size to believe in and I really need the savings, especially on FanDuel.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Bryce Harper - OF, PHI vs. Charlie Morton ($6,000 DK, $4,300 FD)

Schwarber has also hit Morton well, but I prefer the solid floor of Harper over the all-or-nothing with Schwarber. Of course, I love the idea of running them both. Harper has four hits in the first two games of this series and is a career .417 hitter with a homer off of Morton. Schwarber has taken Morton deep twice, both this year, but only has a .267 career mark against him.

Yordan Alvarez - OF, at George Kirby ($5,300 DK, $4,800 FD)

It's a small sample size with Kirby and Yordan, but it's not for Yordan and the Mariners. Yordan is hitting .350 with seven homers and 20 RBI in 17 games against Seattle this year including the playoffs. Any pitcher, any hand...it doesn't matter. Yordan is hitting it. The Mariners may as well be playing slow-pitch softball against Yordan with stats like that and DK still hasn't adjusted his price. He's less of a priority on FD.

Marcell Ozuna - OF, ATL at Bailey Falter ($2,700 DK, $2,600 FD)

You know me...I'm always looking for a bargain. With the money I spent on pitcher and the top-two outfielders, I'm going to need it. Ozuna is 2-for-4 lifetime off of Falter and closed the season strong. That's good enough for me in a win-or-go-home game for the Braves.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here is my top stack for tonight:

Philadelphia Phillies - Charlie Morton has a 5.47 ERA against the Phillies this year, which is by far the worst of any pitcher on the slate against today's opponent. I highlighted a couple of my favorites above, but I also like Schwarber and a very cheap Brandon Marsh. He will likely get pinch-hit for later in the game, but at least he's not mired in a horrible slump like Bohm or Rhys Hoskins. Though after the Hoskins homer yesterday, I'm more inclined to add him in.

Honorable mention: Atlanta Braves

I hope I gave you a head start on your research today and I wish you the best of luck! If you ever have questions about DFS or fantasy baseball, my DMs are always open and I appreciate you taking the time to read my picks today.
