DraftKings DFS Point Guards

John Wall (vs LAL, $8,000)

John Wall is an extremely streaky player, and he’s starting to heat up now. His price is still extremely low, but he’s coming off a few good games, and he gets another great matchup against the Lakers. Los Angeles has been one of the worst teams in the NBA against point guards, and Wall should be able to score at will tonight. He has tremendous upside, and he makes a great tournament option tonight.

Isaiah Canaan (at NY, $5,400)

Canaan has been playing exceptionally well recently, and his price is still fairly low. He’s starting at shooting guard for the Sixers, and he has consistently been hitting value. He gets a good matchup against the Knicks tonight, who has struggled on defense at times this season. Canaan has the ability to contribute in all five categories at some level, but he gets the majority of his points from scoring. He’s a safe option for his price, and he can be used in all leagues.

DraftKings DFS Shooting Guards

James Harden (vs NO, $10,300)

Harden is one of the best fantasy options in the NBA when he gets hot, and that’s what’s happening right now. Over his last five games, he’s averaging 33.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.8 assists (59.6 fantasy points) per game. He gets a great matchup against the Pelicans, who have really struggled on defense this season and they play at an extremely fast pace. Harden is a triple double threat every time he steps on the court, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he triple doubles tonight. He can be used in all leagues.

Jordan Clarkson (at WAS, $5,600)

Clarkson has been playing heavy minutes recently, and that will likely continue tonight. Bryant started last night, which means he’ll likely be out tonight, and Clarkson should have more opportunities with the ball in his hands. He has been playing extremely well recently, and he gets a great matchup against the Wizards, who have struggled against shooting guards this season. Clarkson comes with a bit of risk, but he should be safe tonight if Bryant is ruled out.

DraftKings DFS Small Forwards

Paul George (at LAC, $10,200)

At this point, it just seems ridiculous to avoid PG13. Over the last 10 days, George is averaging 33.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He has a floor around 40 fantasy points, but he also has a 65 fantasy point ceiling. This game will likely stay close from the start to the finish, which means George will be playing heavy minutes and continue to be a huge part of the offense. PG13 has also been a slightly better fantasy option on the road this season, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.

Robert Covington (at NY, $7,200)

I’m going to continue to use Covington until he’s around $8,000, and I may still even use him then. He has been on fire recently, as he’s contributing in all five categories, specifically points, rebounds, and steals. Covington gets a good matchup against the Knicks tonight, and he’ll continue to be a big part of the Sixers offense. His minutes are guaranteed right now because of how well he’s playing, and Covington can be used in all leagues tonight.

DraftKings DFS Power Forwards

Kristaps Porzingis (vs PHI, $7,900)

Porzingis is a tournament only play at this point in his career because he is fouling at an extremely high rate. He has also flashed extremely high upside, scoring 40+ fantasy points in four of his last seven games, including a 59.5 fantasy point outburst. Over that last 10 days, Porzingis is averaging 15.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 3.5 blocks in 33.2 minutes per game. When he isn’t in foul trouble, he tends to play minutes in the high-30s or low-40s, which is where he upside comes from. He gets a great matchup against the Sixers tonight, and Porzingis is a great GPP option.

Nikola Mirotic (vs DEN, $5,700)

Mirotic’s minutes are anything but guaranteed right now, but he does have great upside when he’s given the minutes. The game tonight should play into his skills, as he’s an athletic power forward who loves to run, and he gets a fast paced matchup against a weak Denver frontcourt tonight. Mirotic has scored 38.75 and 41.0 fantasy points in two of his last four games. He’s a GPP only option because of his uncertain minutes, but his price is low and he’s a great option in tournaments tonight.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Clint Capela (vs NO, $5,500)

Capela was recently inserted into the starting lineup, and he has responded with a few great fantasy outings. Over the last 10 days, Capela is averaging 10.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.7 steals in 22.2 minutes per game. Since getting the starting role, Capela’s minutes have been anywhere from 22 to 36, which makes him a bit uncertain of a play, but even in minutes in the low-20s, Capela could hit value. He’ll likely see minutes in the high-20s or low-30s tonight, which makes him a great play in all leagues.
