DraftKings Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/28/18): MLB DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on August 28th, 2018. Tom Vecchio's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a monster 15-game slate to break down today, and there are some great options across the board. There are a few high-priced pitchers on the slate you should be looking to pay up for, along with plenty of bats you want to jam into your lineups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 8/28/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Max Scherzer - P, WAS @ PHI (DK - $12,600)

Scherzer has 10 or more strikeouts in two of his last three games and is now facing off against the Phillies, who come in with a 25.2% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is third worst in the league. Scherzer has allowed a total of three earned runs in his last four starts, showing why he is the best pitcher in the league. He makes a surefire cash game play tonight, as racks up innings and keeps the damage to a minimum.

Lance Lynn - P, NYY vs CWS (DK - $7,800)

Lynn is a bit of a cheaper option tonight but comes in with a solid price tag, so you should be interested in the savings. He is facing off against the White Sox, who have a 25.5% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers this season, which is second worst in the league. Lynn has one start against the White Sox this season, where he went 7.1 innings, put up nine strikeouts and no earned runs. Great matchup and a solid SP2 option on this slate.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Austin Romine - C, NYY vs CWS (DK - $3,600)

Romine is always a cheaper go-to option at catcher, since he gets you exposure to the Yankees powerful offense, along with having solid numbers this season. He comes in with a .315 wOBA and a .184 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season.

Jesus Aguilar - 1B, MIL @ CIN (DK - $4,600)

Love the Brewers as a stack tonight, with the positive park factor and the pitching matchup. Aguilar should be a key target tonight, with his .381 wOBA and his .280 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. He is up against Anthony DeSclafani, who is giving up a 44% hard contact rate to righties this season.

Jason Kipnis - 2B, CLE vs MIN (DK - $3,900)

Kipnis is a bit of a cheaper option tonight, who also gets you exposure to the Indians tonight, which is never a bad thing. They are facing off against Kyle Gibson, who is giving up a 34% fly ball rate to lefties, along with a 39% hard contact rate this season. Kipnis has a 41% hard contact rate over the last 15-days, which should give him some nice power potential tonight.

Matt Duffy - 3B, TB @ ATL (DK - $4,000)

Duffy is facing off against Julio Teheran tonight, who is giving up 1.67 HR/9 to righties this season, which comes from a 39% fly ball rate. Duffy and the Rays are looking surprisingly good right now and with them getting a massive positive park shift, they make a nice stack tonight.

Manny Machado - SS, LAD @ TEX (DK - $5,500)

Machado should be one of the top hitting targets tonight, do the positive hitting environment and the pitching matchup. He is facing off against Ariel Jurado, who is giving up 1.31 HR/9 to righties this season and a 47% hard contact rate. Machado has a .251 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which are elite level numbers, making viable in all formats.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Kike Hernandez - OF, LAA @ TEX (DK - $3.900)

Hernandez is in a similar spot to Machado, with the pitching matchup and park factor, but comes in just a bit cheaper. He has a surprising .253 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which seems very high for a player under $4K. A Dodgers stack will likely be decently popular tonight, but they have a high implied team total and the game has a high over-under.

Andrew Benintendi - OF, BOS vs MIA (DK - $5,300)

Benny biceps and the Red Sox are on a rare three-game losing streak, but they are back at home in a spot to really put up some runs. They are facing off against Jose Urena, who is giving up .326 wOBA and 1.41 HR/9 to lefties this season. I'm buying into the Sox bounce back spot for them and kick this losing streak.
