Today's Weather

The Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox have a good chance of seeing the tarpaulin come out on Monday, as there is a 35 percent chance of rain in the forecast for first pitch, picking up to 45 percent or greater by the middle innings while lasting into the early-morning hours, so be careful. The only area of concern as far as winds will be in New York for the doubleheader between the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees, as they face a 9-12 mph wind blowing out to straightaway center field.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Anthony DeSclafani - P, CIN at WAS ($9,600)

The pickings are pretty slim for Monday's slate of starting pitchers, as the potential for rain in one game, the prospect of a couple of openers in other games and a short schedule of games. DeSclafani is on the road, but he is facing the erratic RHP Erick Fedde in Washington. DeSclafani doesn't go terribly deep into games, but he has 120 strikeouts across 113 2/3 innings, including at least four strikeouts in each of his past nine outings. That'll work.

Zach Plesac - P, CLE vs. BOS ($9,400)

The Red Sox are skidding, so Plesac faces them at just the right time. Boston has dropped five in a row on the road, and eight straight against winning teams. On the flip side, the Indians have won five of their past six at home, while going 5-0 in Plesac's past five home outings, six straight starts overall and five straight when working against a team with a winning overall mark.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Gary Sanchez - C, NYY vs. BAL ($4,500)

Sanchez is a nice, cheap source of power for Game 2 of the doubleheader. Just be careful to double-check the lineup and make sure Sanchez didn't play in Game 1, as the Yankees might not use him in both parts of the twin bill. If so, roll with Arizona's Carson Kelly ($5,200), as he has a road game at Coors Field.

Carlos Santana - 1B, CLE vs. BOS ($4,200)

Santana will be facing LHP Eduardo Rodriguez, and the switch-hitting first baseman has been much better against southpaws. He is hitting .310 with seven doubles, six homers and 27 RBI in 129 at-bats vs. LHP, while posting just a .269 average in 283 at-bats vs. RHP. While he has posted a lot more power against righties, he also strikes out quite a bit more, too.

DJ LeMahieu - 2B, NYY vs. BAL ($5,200)

LeMahieu leads all second basemen with a .334 average while posting 26 doubles, two triples, 18 home runs and 80 RBI with a .910 OPS. He should continue to roll up big numbers in Game 2 against Baltimore's pitiful pitching staff. He is slashing .389/.468/.537 with a 1.005 OPS against Baltimore pitching this season across 54 at-bats.

Yuli Gurriel - 3B/1B, HOU at CHW ($4,700)

If the Astros and White Sox are able to play through the raindrops, Gurriel is a fabulous play. He has been on fire across the past 10 outings, going 13-for-40 (.364) with five doubles, three home runs and 16 RBI, posting 12.7 Fantasy Points Per Game (FPPG) at DraftKings. He is also eligible at first base.

Bo Bichette - SS, TOR vs. TEX ($4,500)

The rookie Bichette is one of many sons of former Major Leaguers in Toronto making a huge splash. He will be facing RHP Ariel Jurado and the Texas Rangers on Monday as he looks to stay hot. He is averaging 11.5 FPPG at DraftKings, tops among shortstops on the schedule, yet he has the eighth-most expensive salary at his position on a rather light night. Take advantage.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Aristides Aquino - OF, CIN at WAS ($4,400)

Aquino heads into Monday's series opener in D.C. with an eight-game hitting streak in tow, going 14-for-25 (.560) with seven home runs, 10 runs scored and 14 RBI. Keep striking while the iron is hot and roll with him until he starts to cool off.

J.D. Martinez - OF, BOS at CLE ($5,400)

It's never a great idea to play a hitter against one of your pitchers, but on a short slate of games with one potential weather delay, it's necessary. Martinez is raking lately, hitting in 10 straight games while slashing .447/.523/.842 with four homers, eight RBI and nine runs scored during his current 10-game hitting streak.
