DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (12/28/22): NBA DFS Lineups

Anthony Edwards - NBA DFS Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball Rankings, Injury News - rotoballer icon

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on December 28, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

We're set for an eight-game slate Wednesday night that features plenty of intriguing matchups and a strong player pool to work with, even when factoring in multiple big-name absences.

We also have five games with projected totals of more than 230 points, which is a recipe for what should be a night of very elevated DFS scores thanks to plenty of elite individual performances.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 12/28/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET tonight. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Anthony Edwards - SF/SF, MIN at NOP ($9,500 DK; $9,100 FD)

Edwards continues to serve as the linchpin of Minnesota's attack in the ongoing absence of Karl-Anthony Towns, now sporting a 29.4 percent usage rate and averaging 45 fantasy points per 36 minutes on both sites without his teammate on the floor. Edwards just lit up the Heat for 51.5 DK/47.7 FD points across 40 minutes Monday night, and he checks in shooting 47.9 percent, including 41.9 percent from three-point range, across 17 road games thus far. Edwards should once again shoulder a hefty workload Wednesday night against a Pelicans team that should serve as a formidable opponent and ensure a heavy workload for the third-year star.

De'Aaron Fox - PG/SG, SAC vs. DEN ($8,600 DK; $8,500 FD)

Fox shot 62.5% against the Nuggets on Tuesday night without Domantas Sabonis (thumb) on the floor, and he could be in the same scenario in Wednesday's rematch. The star point guard is averaging over 40 fantasy points per game on either site at home on the season, posting a 54.0 percent success rate from the floor, including 39.1 percent from three-point range. Fox had scored over 40 fantasy points in four of his five games prior to Tuesday as well, affording him a ceiling befitting of a higher-salaried player.

Markelle Fultz - PG, ORL at DET ($5,900 DK; $6,300 FD)

Fultz is another guard who could well overdeliver on the modest investment required to roster him Wednesday, as he checks in averaging over 30 fantasy points per game in the last five contests while shooting 49.1 percent, including 37.5 percent from three-point range. The 2017 first-overall pick is shooting a career-best 40.0 percent from three-point range overall on the season, and he'll be facing a Pistons team that's facilitated plenty of assists and three-point shooting production on its home floor.

ALSO CONSIDER: Jordan Clarkson - PG/SG, UTA at GSW ($6,800 DK; $7,300 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Giannis Antetokounmpo - PF/C, MIL at CHI ($11,500 DK; $11,700 FD)

Antetokounmpo posted 57.8 DK/51.7 FD points against the Bulls in his one prior encounter with Chicago this season, and he checks into Wednesday's rematch having scored over 50 fantasy points on either site in three of his last four, including one tally over 70. The Greek Freak can naturally contribute across each category, and he should be in position for one of his higher-percentile performances versus a Bulls team that's allowing an NBA-high 29.9 offensive efficiency rating to power forwards and 50.0 percent shooting to the position.

DeMar DeRozan - SF/PF, CHI vs. MIL ($8,900 DK; $8,600 FD)

DeRozan has outpaced his current salaries by a good bit recently, eclipsing 50 fantasy points on either site in each of his last two games. The multi-time All-Star's hot stretch dates further back as well, considering he's averaging 27.1 points on 50.7 percent shooting over the last eight games while averaging over 45 fantasy points per game. DeRozan also had one of his best performances of the season in his one prior encounter with Milwaukee, producing 59 DK/59.8 FD points across 38 minutes.

T.J. Warren - SF/PF, BKN at ATL ($4,000 DK; $5,100 FD)

It took nearly two years to unfold, but Warren's long-anticipated return to the floor has been a rousing success early on. The veteran wing is shooting 55.7 percent, including 38.9 percent from behind the arc, while putting up 10.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists across 18.2 minutes over his first 10 games. Warren is coming off having scored a season-high 40.5 DK/40.6 FD points in 27 minutes against the Cavaliers on Monday night, and he's now logged at least 21 minutes in three straight, certainly encouraging given how reasonable his salaries remain going into an even more favorable matchup Wednesday night.

ALSO CONSIDER: Kevin Durant - SF/PF, BKN at ATL ($10,200 DK, $10,400 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Kristaps Porzingis - WAS at PHX ($9,000 DK; $9,000 FD)

Porzingis continues to generate strong fantasy production despite the recent return of Bradley Beal from injury, and he's coming off having posted 50 DK/50.5 FD points across 35 minutes against the 76ers on Tuesday night. Porzingis is averaging over 40 DK points per game on the road as well, and he's putting up the second-highest rebounding average of his career (9.0). The seven-footer now has an even more appealing matchup than he did versus Philly, as the Suns are allowing the ninth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (33.1).

Nicolas Claxton - C, BKN at ATL ($5,900 DK; $6,600 FD)

Claxton checks in with reasonable salaries for a player averaging 30.4 DK/32 FD points per game. The young big has shot 73.8 percent on the season overall, and he's flashed an excellent ceiling by eclipsing 40 DK points on seven occasions and 40 FD points in nine instances across 31 games. Claxton has nine double-doubles on the season as well, and he's shot an even better 74.8 percent on the road. His matchup sets him up for another potentially rewarding night, as the Hawks are likely to still be missing Clint Capela (calf) down low and are already conceding the fourth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (34.4) on the season.

Naz Reid - MIN at NOP ($4,700 DK; $6,100 FD)

Reid continues to see expanded opportunity with Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) still sidelined, and he's actually eclipsed 50 fantasy points on either site in a pair of spot starts during his teammate's absence. However, Reid has been coming off the bench over the last three games, yet he's still hit/eclipsed 25 fantasy points in each of the last two games in a reserve role. The big man should continue to enjoy a solid workload Wednesday versus a Pelicans team that's ranked in the bottom half of the league in offensive efficiency rating surrendered to second-unit players.

ALSO CONSIDER: John Collins, PF/C, ATL vs. BKN ($5,300 DK; $6,300 FD)
