ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Dodgers catching prospect Dalton Rushing was recently promoted to Triple-A and is now just one stop away from reaching the big leagues.
Rushing opened the campaign by making his Double-A debut and posted a solid .270/.378/.512 slash line with 17 home runs, 59 RBI, and a 38:69 BB:K ratio through 77 games.
Through his first taste of Triple-A ball, Rushing has held a .276/.421/.448 line with a long ball across nine games. During this stretch, Rushing posted two multi-hit games and has gone only three games without a hit.

Even though the Dodgers have All-Star backstop Will Smith in the big leagues, Rushing could be promoted to serve as the backup during the stretch run.
