In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/5/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel. Let's get to it, shall we?

FanDuel DFS Guards
Kyle Lowry - PG, vs UTA ($8,100)
Kyle Lowry is the best cash game point guard option on the board tonight. In his last game, which was against the San Antonio Spurs, Kyle Lowry struggled for the first time in quite a few games. He posted 12.8 fantasy points in 29 minutes. Prior to that, he posted over 50 fantasy points in two of three games. He tends to hit at least 40 fantasy points, which is solid for his price tag. The Utah Jazz are one of the slower teams in the league, but that should not stop Lowry from hitting value. Forget about his last game. Lowry will bounce back nicely tonight.
Shelvin Mack - PG, at TOR ($3,800)
Speaking of the Utah Jazz, Shelvin Mack is worth consideration in tournaments as a salary relief option tonight. In his last two games, he has 17.2 fantasy points in 26 minutes and 25.4 fantasy points in 32 minutes. The Toronto Raptors are no joke when it comes to playing defense, but Mack plays enough minutes and is cheap enough to hit value against the San Antonio Spurs. Mack's low price tag will allow for fantasy owners to roster Russell Westbrook or James Harden without too much of an issue.
Also Consider: Gary Harris - SG, vs SAS ($4,700)
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Paul George - SF, vs BKN ($7,900)
Paul George is a great option tonight in tournaments. He posts under 30 fantasy points in too many games to be considered a solid cash game option. However, he also posts over 40 fantasy points quite often, which is great production for his low-ish price tag right now. The Brookly Nets are horrible against opposing small forwards, and George should be able to take advantage of that. In his last game, he posted over 44 fantasy points in 36 minutes against the Detroit Pistons. He should see similar results tonight.
Trevor Booker - PF, at IND ($5,500)
Trevor Booker gets a fantastic matchup tonight against the Indiana Pacers, a team that loves to push the pace of games. In his last game, he posted 39 fantasy points in 34 minutes. He has over 25 fantasy points in three straight games now, and his price tag is very reasonable. Due to that, roster Booker in both 50/50 contests and tournaments. He is a very talented power forward, but he is sometimes the forgotten man in Brooklyn. His upside is fantastic.
Also Consider: Jon Leuer - PF, vs CHA ($4,900)
FanDuel DFS Centers
Rudy Gobert - C, at TOR ($7,400)
Rudy Gobert does not get the credit that he deserves because he never ends up on SportsCenter's Top 10. He is not a flashy player. He is an elite-level rebounder with great shot blocking and post scoring abilities. The Toronto Raptors are solid defensively, but the one position they struggle against is the center position. That opens up plenty of opportunity for the Utah Jazz big man. Two games ago, Gobert posted over 40 fantasy points in 38 minutes against the Brooklyn Nets. Roster him in all leagues.
